Two people were injured in a Sunday afternoon shooting that happened outside a Cinco de Mayo celebration.
Two groups of juveniles exchanged gunfire in the area of Lake Street and 5th Avenue, according to Minneapolis Police Sgt. Bill Palmer. Authorities say the incident was gang-related.
One teen was shot in the chest and taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Another teen was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after being shot in the foot and the leg.
Police have one person in custody in connection with the incident, which happened near a Cinco de Mayo celebration. They have not identified the person as the shooter.

This happened in my neck of the woods.
Think outside of the box.
too much Corona.
you know it’s a party when people get shot.
Lake street.
Were they Cinco de Mayans?............
Obviously two previously law abiding, white tea party members upset about HusseinCare.
Unlike the Strib and channel 5, channel 4 had the balls to call them gang members....

“This guy was on the floor by the tree. He was shot in the stomach a lot of times,” said Natalie Alvarado who witnessed the shooting.
that’s unexpected...Don Shelby will not be happy.
In Minnesota no less. I didn’t realize they had an illegal alien gang problem there too.
Well ,if it’s illegals, or ms13, or the crips, or blooods that are shooting at each other, no problem. Just shoot straight and don’t shoot anyone else but yourselves.
Only think what the news would be if this had happened in or near a Tea Party event.
It is gang related because we now have gangs formed by illegal Mexicans who are coming with a desire to "better" themselves by playing the gang angle for much higher stakes than they can find in Mexico.
vaudine
I’ve seen Latin Kings graffiti in St.Paul for years.
(gotta love them ‘sanctuary’ citys.)
Another act of violence during a Sinkhole de Mehico celebration.
Damn, graffiti too.
I haven’t been in the area since ‘95. I remember how I was impressed at how neat and clean the Twin Cities were compared to a lot of cities I’ve been to.
A crying shame.
1) If someone so much as fired a BB gun at a Tea Party, it would be immediately closed down - and Napoleontono would dispatch hordes of FBI agents to investigate the white suprenacy hate crimes.
2) If the local police had sent a jackbooted SWAT team to monitor the event, the shootings probably would not have occured.
3) Even though the violence was deadly serious, and life-threatening to the women and children in attendance, THE EVENT WAS NOT SHUT DOWN. Now if some tea partiers had shown up displaying American Flags, I suppose that would be cause for some concern by the authorities.
Stinko de Mayo? Throw it out and buy a new jar.
Not the Cinco de Mayo Clinic?
“Unlike the Strib and channel 5, channel 4 had the balls to call them gang members....”
Heard on the radio this morning the police were not sure it was gang related.....The guys at work started laughing.
It is laughable.....
