She is about as much like “ordinary people” as a fish is like a bicycle.
I’m thinking that maybe Obama isn’t really serious about getting her to the court, but rather having her take the arrows for the next nominee, who will also be a lesbo. At that point, the people will be worn down and say something like: “at least she doesn’t look like one”.
Similar trick to what New York City did when they wanted to raise the subway fare - they said it would go from 75 cents to $1.25...everyone screamed - so they backed down and only raised it to $1.00 (LOL). The public was relieved...that was a close one.
He is invalid; how can he apppoint anybody to the high court when he is ineligible to hold the office of the president?

Well, Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito are all east coast Ivy Leaguers, so that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I get your point though.

When Dark vader Ginszberg retires next year it will virtually be a split senate. That is when they really need to fight. That would tip the scales on the court if we could get a true “moderate”.
She will have no problem being confirmed.

Ginsburg has kids. And having kids doesn’t really mean anything anyway. O’Connor had kids and she is largely personally responsible for the existence of Roe v Wade, Aff Action, and all the other bad decisions of recent memory.
Same with being a lesbian, if Kagan is in fact one. I’d take an originalist lesbian any day of the week. If she decides cases the right way I really don’t care what she does in the bedroom. Justice Thomas certainly seemed to have amusing interests in that area, but he’s a great Justice, and I could care less whether he likes reading Penthouse Forum in his spare time.
Justice Ginsburg has 2 children, so she does know something about being a mother.
