Critics say a bill pending in the U.S. Senate would do for Americans' food supply what "Obamacare" is doing to the nation's supply of health-care resources.
And it's generating a surge of alarm among small-farm operators and natural food advocates.
"S. 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010, may be the most dangerous bill in the history of the U.S.," writes Steve Green on the Food Freedom blog. "It is to our food what the bailout was to our economy, only we can live without money."
The plan is sponsored by U.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich. ...
...Shiv Chopra, a Canada Health whistleblower, who concluded S. 510 "would preclude the public's right to grow, own, trade, transport, share, feed and eat each and every food that nature makes."

I think we’re headed someplace much worse than “socialism”.

The future speakeasy will serve T-bone steak, deep fried okra/mashed potatoes drowning in butter, and 1,500 calorie per slice cheesecake. Bootleggers running back-country churned butter. Sadly, I can almost visualize it.

Backyard gardens could vanish if that became law. Backyard garden inspectors could vanish shortly after...
Yes, I'm DEAD serious.
There's no way they could enforce this without gun confiscation. That's THE balloon to go up, folks. Watch for it.

They know they can’t control 300 million people,
so the answer is to reduce that number.
That’s what they (and their ideological “father”) are after - mass human death.

They're attacking us from every angle, every day, it seems From your article:
His website explains, "The legislation requires foreign and domestic food facilities to have safety plans in place to prevent food hazards before they occur, increases the frequency of inspections. Additionally, it provides strong, flexible enforcement tools, including mandatory recall. Most importantly, this bill generates the resources to support FDA food safety activities."
Oh, the horror!

Also notice that the woman who introduced it is married to someone who works for Monsanto.
You can say goodbye to heirloom seeds and people growing their own seeds.

“Soylent Green”, “Logan’s Run”, “Brave New World”, “1984” and “Animal farm” are NOT works of fiction to LIBs. They are the books of their “bible”.

Backyard gardens could vanish if that became law. Indeed. Justice Thomas essentially made that point in the medical marijuana case:
If the majority is to be taken seriously, the Federal Government may now regulate quilting bees, clothes drives, and potluck suppers throughout the 50 States. This makes a mockery of Madison's assurance to the people of New York that the "powers delegated" to the Federal Government are "few and defined," while those of the States are "numerous and indefinite."
J. Thomas, dissenting in Raich, 6 June 2005

Are you kidding they can already tell you what you can't grow in your back yard garden.
Last year, after getting turned in for having an unauthorized bird feeder, when the “Vector Control Officer” (fancy name for rat catcher) showed up to cite me and order me to remove my wife's bird feeder, the overweight civil servant also cited my next door neighbor for growing corn and beans in their back yard garden, because those foods allegedly attract rats.

I will be supporting underground businesses (assuming I find them) when the SHTF. I’ll start tomorrow if the situation presents itself. Imagine a backroom deal for cucumbers and tomatoes! I imagine we’ll be buying our ammo this way before long too.

I guess, even if you have your own heirloom seeds and go seed to seed,
you still have to worry about cross pollination from GMO plants.
So, what do you do? Keep bees in your own greenhouse?

Guns??? I have no guns, officer.
Then what? Do we pay a fine for not reporting a “stolen” gun? NO WAY they’re getting my guns.
