Helen Thomas simply longs for the days when reporters and pundits could report spin, lies and opinion as fact and were never held accountable outside of page A-16 retractions.
The new medias finest moment came when in 2004 CBSs Dan Rather attempted to influence a national election (much like his predecessor Walter Cronkite did with the Vietnam War after the Tet Offensive), but unlike then, now there is a new media filled with grassroots activists who were going to hold the old media accountable and one of those activists on the Conservative Site Free-Republic under the handle Buckhead, was able to expose Rathers official documents concerning Bushs service in the Texas Air National Guard as forgeries. Rather eventually lost his job as a result.

Our Big Lib Media constantly proves my point that a half-truth is often worse than an outright lie. Lie enough times and even many sonambulant types will notice them. But only tell half the story, and many people will not see the other side. That has been the left’s biggest crime: not the lies, but only reporting half or part of the story.

The thoroughly discredited Rather still has a program on HDNet. Big Lib Media says: what scandal?

I thought she looks rather good in this one compared to some others I’ve seen. :) But the fact that there’s a pretty girl next to her to provide contrast (made of actual matter).... well, that’s probably what makes her look so guitly.

I don’t think it’s Malkin. She sure is a pretty girl though, which gave me the matter/antimatter idea. I don’t think FR actually has a matter/antimatter ping list, though I do suspect that Horrible Helen might be made of something other than sugar and spice. :)
