Helen Thomas simply longs for the days when reporters and pundits could report spin, lies and opinion as fact and were never held accountable outside of page A-16 retractions.
The new medias finest moment came when in 2004 CBSs Dan Rather attempted to influence a national election (much like his predecessor Walter Cronkite did with the Vietnam War after the Tet Offensive), but unlike then, now there is a new media filled with grassroots activists who were going to hold the old media accountable and one of those activists on the Conservative Site Free-Republic under the handle Buckhead, was able to expose Rathers official documents concerning Bushs service in the Texas Air National Guard as forgeries. Rather eventually lost his job as a result.

So, have you received any Christmas cards from Rather lately?

Charles did a nice job on that morphing animation but I can just see him gnashing his together that Free Republic was getting all the attention. And that was before he morphed himself into a moonbat.

that would be “gnashing his TEETH together”.

BEST picture of Helen Ive seen ... should be used from now on!!! No picture of Helen Thomas should ever be used! At least, not in the presence of children and faint-hearted adults!
If photos of "Her Ugliness" are used, disclaimers must accompany the photo. i.e.: Looking at this photo can cause nightmares, uncontrollable shaking and sweats, buggy eyes, vomiting, etc.

Whoah - another hideous angle. In this one she looks like Soros’ ugly sister or something. Extra-creepy.

“those with cell-phones believe they are photographers and that the opinions of these people can ruin the lives of public and political figures.
The bottom line of her complaint is the loss of the power to ruin lives. That is what the big media loved about their power. I wonder if the old hag remembers Richard Nixon.

How interesting. Did you know that buckhead was working on the exposure? It’s just so fantastic to talk to people who ‘were a part’ of FR at that time!
