Obama administration defies congressional subpoena on Fort Hood documents

The Obama administration said Tuesday it would provide more information to Congress about the Fort Hood shootings but continued to defy a subpoena request for witness statements and other documents.

After days of negotiations, the Pentagon and Justice Department informed a Senate committee that they would not comply with congressional subpoenas to share investigative records from the Nov. 5 shootings at Fort Hood, Tex., which killed 13 people.

"Major Nidal Malik Hasan, who allegedly killed 11 [count now 13, or 14 if you include the unborn child of the 21-year-old female soldier -etl] people before being shot and wounded by police at Fort Hood, had said Muslims should "rise up" and attack Americans in retaliation for the US war in Iraq, a former army colleague said."

"He said Muslims should stand up and fight the aggressor and that we should not be in the war in the first place." He said that Major Hasan said he was "happy" when a US soldier was killed in an attack on a military recruitment centre in Arkansas in June. An American convert to Islam was accused of the shootings.

Col Lee alleged that other officers had told him that Major Hasan had said "maybe people should strap bombs on themselves and go to Times Square" in New York."

I agree. I had thought our military was somewhat insulated from the perversion of the left...but when one considers it, the path for promotion is highly political...which is the realm liberals love to infest.

And it’s an anomaly that the Obama gang even received this subpoena because of Lieberman’s departure from the leftists on this one issue (and only this one issue). All the more important to win back the House and even the Senate so more investigations can be started and subpoenas sent to Obama in far greater numbers.
