The fight over Senate Bill 1070 took to the streets of downtown Phoenix, as riot Police were called to the Capitol to control an unruly group of protesters.
Witnesses say a group protesting against SB1070 began to fight with a man who was for the controversial immigration bill.
Police tried escorting that man away from the scene, fearing for his safety, when they too came under attack by people throwing items, including water bottles.
A young man was arrested during that melee.
Things calmed down moments later, but riot Police remained at the capital to maintain some sort of order.

A juvenile was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault against a police officer for throwing a bottle, the Department of Public Safety said. The demonstrators blocked Jefferson and officers stopped traffic until the crowd moved off of the street.
An hour later, at 17th Avenue and Adams Street, an ice cream vendor told police that one of his ice cream carts had been stolen and pointed out a man to an officer. The suspect was selling items from the stolen cart, police said.

As the officer was arresting the man, a crowd formed and one suspect began throwing items at the officer, striking him. Police quickly formed a line and another man forced his way through the officers and was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct. The suspect with the ice cream cart was charged with theft.”

Yes and we’ve got a governor who told a Hispanic ‘’civil rights group’’ two years ago that he wouldn’t enforce the immigration law. ( this in his capacity as a federal attorney)

Should I ever meet the governor of my state I intend to ask that since he won’t prosecute the immigration laws, which are a federal matter, would he feel the same about bank robbery, since thats a Federal offense as well.
