Yet, another new office, & the hiring of yet more gov’t employees. Meanwhile, my biz contracts have dried up & I have had no work since Feb & nothing til Sept. I’m reworking my biz to get some work (no help from anyone, living on savings.) Where’s my unemployment? Where’s my relief? Why do I have to fund everyone elses’ stuff? Why are you, Obummer, demonizing the public companies that hire people & make America work? Get your gov’t monkey of our backs!!!!!

Thanks, I needed that rant.

And yet they cannot somehow track 20 million illegal aliens, identify them (ohhhh, nooooo that would be tooooooo difffficult to do, if not unconstitutional or hurt peoples feelings), get into their money remittance transactions back to Mexico and wherever else, and begin a massive deportation program.

Who's country is it anymore?!! Illegals? Coddled and completely under the radar. Legals and Citizens/Native born (unlike Obama)? No rights!

Heard reports the GOP is negotiating on the bill, Hope they take this provision out. The best bet would be to kill it. This administration is selling the bill so hard and using media tricks. The fact it is a Dodd bill is a big RED alert. It must be bad for us and an important piece to progressive agenda.

It’s looking more and more as a dictatorship . What has happened to the country I came to 48 years ago? Are Americans blind? Do they not realize what is down the road? How many thousands or millions will have to die this time?

Wow. Just “Wow.”

Ever notice that liberals in government leak information on Republicans and their embarrassments, but not on liberals? Giving them this much extra data to “accidentally leak” stuff on people is outrageous.

Financial transactions by citizens have a substantial effect on interstate commerce. Ask one of FR's resident Wickardistas to explain it.

It’s a matter of priorities and goals, isn’t it? Our administration does not value people like you and I, except for the wealth we may have.

One more thing: Ever notice that suing the government for anything it does wrong, your information or otherwise, is almost impossible? The FBI can leak everything on a suspect that ultimately was completely innocent (i.e. - the anthrax suspects). Even if you accept you have the burden to prove you are innocent (not supposed to be that way in the US), the “reputation” of the government with the media is so strong that the accusations MUST be the truth.

I hate liberalism to the bone.

Karl Rove was on Fox News' "On the Record" with Greta Van Sustern last night. Video here:

Thanks for the heads up on this one, Cacique.

Nothing is done to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, despite their problems with fraud and costing taxpayers $400 billion in bailouts.

—Dodd should not be the one initiating financial reform. —He is retiring soon also, no political worries.

We need to stay one step ahead of the socialist government. Fight Marxism with technology. Encryption is protected free speech and money is digital data, sometimes printed on paper but usually stored as magnetic bits on bank disk drives. Using P2P internet servers, and spread spectrum data storage, we can create our own free currency that cannot be traced.

The high value-added-tax in Spain has channeled 30% of their GDP into a tax free black market. Open source encryption technology could make this easy to do here in America.

Why are you so desperately for some excuse to attack the GOP on every thread? Why are you so utterly unwilling to ever attack the Democrats on anything?

Because we expect it to come from the Democrats and they don't listen to us anyway. We don't expect or want it from the GOP, and need to smack our own team upside the head when they start collaborating with the Enemy Within.

Otherwise the GOP will take you for granted just because of the "(R)" next to someone's name at the polls, then kick you in the pants right after the election.

You really don’t get it, do you.

The Republicans are as much a part of this as the Democrats. Why, for example, do you think that we saw so many GOP types drop out of the last Presidential Election? 1) they were told what script they would have to follow if they won and 2) they were told they wouldn’t win. McCain was a fall guy. And 2012? Look to notice that Romney will get the nod.....he should, he’s never met an issue he couldn’t waffle on. And if he were to be elected, (and I don’t think he can win), he’d further the agenda of the NWO; maybe not as hard and as fast as BO has, but he’s going to have to play from the same script.

What most haven’t figured out is that this script was written out 50 years ago. All that’s left to be done is to grab some popcorn and watch it play out.

Why the hell are the MSM always covering for bozo ?

Because the Communists have infiltrated the press?

Agreed, they have a duty to give a fair report on the facts but instead we have dopes out there saying that they heard something on the news and they think it;s true.
Then the MSM say they’;re fair which has to be one of the most underestimating comments in the last few years.

Not related to financial reform -but privacy concerns with this administation in EU.

--The European Parliament is threatening to derail an interim agreement allowing US authorities to track European bank transactions in terrorism investigations unless certain concessions are made.

The agreement would allow US prosecutors and investigators to tap into intra-European bank transactions as part of anti-terrorist enquiries - something EU lawmakers say raises privacy concerns.

“You really don’t get it, do you.

The Republicans are as much a part of this as the Democrats.”

________________________
Some who claim to be ‘republican’ certainly are to blame.

I understand that McCain is one of the people Obama thinks will sign on to his ‘finance reform’.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2496966/posts?page=20#20

McCAin voted and pushed TARP.

TARP bailed out Goldman, and McCain’s top donors.

Goldman uses HB1 visas....

McCain got more $$ than any republican.

McCain is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

[snip]But there are at least some new supporters of the campaign. B. C. Clippard, who was national finance chairman of Fred D. Thompson’s presidential campaign, has now raised $100,000 or more for Mr. McCain. Former Senator Alfonse M. D’Amato of New York also supported Mr. Thompson but recently helped organize a fund-raiser in New York that netted over $1 million for Mr. McCain. Peter Newman, a former fund-raiser for Mr. Giuliani from Pebble Beach, Calif., has since become a Trailblazer for Mr. McCain. The list also includes something of a who’s who of his national finance team, including Tom Loeffler, a former congressman, and Lewis Eisenberg, a former Goldman Sachs partner and longtime player in Republican fund-raising.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/21/us/politics/21bundlers.html

[snip] Over the last year, John McCain supported everything that the grass-roots Tea Party movement has stood against:

*The $700 billion all-purpose, earmark-stuffed TARP bailout;

*The $25 billion auto bailout;

*The $300 billion mortgage entitlement bailout; and *The first $85 billion AIG bailout.

When push came to shove, McCain and his economic advisers (including his hand-picked California GOP Senate candidate, Carly Fiorina) caved to the Chicken Little chaos in Washington every time and joined hands with Barack Obama.

Reasonable people may not assert that John McCain is an unsurpassed paragon of “fiscal responsibility.”
