Stop the presses! Pigs are flying! Hell is freezing over! The same Black liberal Democrat church leaders that have always willingly broken IRS rules to allow Democrats campaign in their churches have apparently experienced their “Road to Damascus Moment.”
They are now demanding that the Democrats who rule them in Chicago allow the hated (by liberals) WalMart to open a store within the limits of the Windy City.
A group of more than 200 Black church leaders representing about 100,000 people is demanding that Mayor Richard M. Daley “make it happen” and the store be opened as soon as possible on West 83rd Street in the mostly Black South Side.
Not just one WalMart but many
The president of the Englewood Political Task Force says, “We barely have fresh produce and our only option for prescriptions is a nearby Walgreens. We are stuck with what’s in the area and if we want more, we’d have to travel to other neighborhoods. We need a Walmart in Englewood and in other areas of the South Side. We want 25 Walmarts if we can get it.”
Obama’s promises not coming true
As the whole country suffers from near 10% unemployment, the rate of joblessness for Chicago’s Blacks is a staggering 44%, yet still their Democrat “massas” won’t let them shop and work in WalMart because the Democrats’ masters in Big Labor hate WalMart and vow to never allow the chain in any of the cities like Chicago that they own.
In 2006 WalMart wanted to open a Chicago store but the Marxist Democrats who run the city said no. WalMart opened a store just outside of the city limits and hired 400 Chicagoans to staff it. They paid $11.30 per hour and have not had trouble filling any openings since....

Did WalMart give the “Reverends” some walking around money? That was the expression I used to hear when Bill Clinton was running. Cash payments to these Revs for preaching for Democrat candidates at the pulpit. For giving electoral guidance to their flock.

The reason the place was so busy was that this was the nearest Walmart to Manhattan.

These dims have finally come around that their neighborhoods are failing, there are no grocery stores, no pharmacies, and limited job opportunities, They want to welcome WalMart and get the Chicago machine that’s crushing them economically off of their back and all you can think about is that there might be some shoplifting because the patrons are black.
Come on conservatives, we can be better than that.
Maybe they could claim Chicago as a ‘food desert’ and ask for a Super Wal Mart.
Guess no one in the press has the balls to utter the unspeakable: there are no Walmarts in that area because their execs know that even Walmarts obsessive cost control policies are not enough to offset the depredations of the employee and customer base that a store in that location would draw.

200 black pastors representing 100,000 people is considerable buying power.
So, why don’t these people start their own mega-store and build them around the city.
Thereby, not having to deal with the evil white corporation who takes advantage of them, and, they can put forward their own business practices and show us how to run a business “fairly”.
(And, everyone has a share.)
When I was in high school I worked in retail.
Once a month, White Episcopalians would come in 30 or 40 at a time. They would grab and steal everything and run out of the store. The manager said we were not allowed to stop them. It was the price of doing business.
Maybe it was White Methodists. They were definitely not Black. Because we all know that the high moral standard and ‘way of life’ that most Black people live by would never promote and even celebrate this kind of theivery.
That is why Africa is such a great place to be.
If only Wal-Mart would unionize, and pay a “living wage”, and give away “free” health care, and hire only “disadvantaged minorities”, then all that would be left would be the graft and extortion for the Chicago Democrat machine... Voila!, Wal-Mart could open a store in Ubamaland tomorrow.
I don’t see what the problem is..
