The Boston Herald thinks theyve found the unity ticket for the GOP in 2012. Apparently, Sarah Palin thinks it sounds serious, too. The only question would be the order (via Jules Crittenden):
Conservative superstar Sarah Palin opened the door today to joining forces with Mitt Romney for a 2012 White House run a hot ticket that has some Republicans licking their chops at the prospect of unseating President Obama.
Sounds pretty good, Palin declared at todays Tea Party Express rally on the Common when asked about pairing up with the former Bay State governor giving the idea a big thumbs-up as she left the stage after her headline speech.
Earlier tonight, as Palin stopped for cannoli at Mikes Pastry in the North End, she said she was serious about the idea.
I have a lot of respect for Mitt, she told the Herald.
Asked who would be on top of the ticket, Palin roared, Ha! I havent even thought that far ahead yet.

Ping
Palin at the top of the ticket.
I hope Ronald Reagan was wrong and there is another free country to move to.
“Palin at the top of the ticket.”
Romney sweeping up after the elephant show.
Pass
No. No way Sarah plays second fiddle to Romney.
pretty much...there is no diff between RINOs ans dems, both are progressives. Palin seems to have lost her way.
As much as I admire Romney’s economic brain power...he hurt himself badly with not just ‘Masscare’ but with his interview with O’Reilly recently. Instead of admitting the mistake, he defended it.
From a basic math standpoint, his defense simply doesn’t hold up under scrutiny. Further, from a pure political standpoint, he should have admitted it was a mistake, one he learned from, and won’t repeat again if hired by ‘We the People’.
JMHO. And a lot of Freepers know I supported Romney in 08 here, and did so recently. And flamed me for it repeatedly (laughing).
I don’t know if he can overcome this. Then again, I never thought McCain could overcome 7 and a half years of bashing his own party, his own party’s seated President, just to send a tingle up Chris Mathew’s leg on MSNBC....
Mitt is not a non-RINO.
Anything but Palin at the top, regardless of who the VP is, would be a losing ticket!
.
I’d prefer Palin/Romney or Hunter/Palin or Palin/Bachmann or Bachmann/Palin or Palin/Jindhal.
He looks plastic to me, I can’t put my finger on what exactly makes me feel that way.
They are trying to manipulate us handing us our candidates again.
Nothing will be repealed with Romney in it.
Who is backing Sarah and are they trying to kill her candidacy or is she taking bad advice?
Sarah is too much of a man to run with Romney, who is a girl, for sure.
” Instead of admitting the mistake, he defended it.”
.
Right, he still fails to recognize that it was a mistake. - For that reason, he would be unacceptable even as VP.
.
Don’t count on it. Sarah Palin already had the “pleasure” of running with a super RINO, sell-out coward and hyper arrogant, back stabbing blame merchant and media whore. I doubt she’s enthusiastic about a rerun! If Palin runs for high office, it’ll be the top job only. And she WILL NOT endorse an America hating, Marxist, wanna-be dictator and thug like Juan was so pleased to do.
Make one.
Support your state legislatures in asserting state sovereignty.
If you’re in a “hopeless” state, adopt the state next door, and move when necessary.
When pigs fly.
