Special army unit ready to be deployed on American soil (by October)

In October of this year, one month prior to the November midterm elections, a special army unit known as 'Consequence Management Response Force' will be ready for deployment on American soil if so ordered by the President.

According to the Army Times,

They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.

The key phrase is 'may be called upon to help with civil unrest.'

This afternoon a local radio talk show host reported that he had been in contact with a member of the military. This military source stated that the armed forces have been alerted to the strong possibility that civil unrest may occur in the United States this summer, prior to the midterm elections of 2010.

Would the use of federal troops to quell civil unrest be a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act? I trust that many members of the US military would mutiny if ordered to fire on US civilians. However I do not trust Obama and facing a total loss of Democrat control of Congress he might use some trumped up crisis to derail the elections or assume “emergency” powers.

Would American soldiers fire on their own citizens for Obama?

Very likely those picked for this force have had multiple tests to insure that they would indeed.

The summer of our discontent.

The left has been itching for this “time” for a long, long time. They think the violence is the final punch to be thrown.

Several months ago I had heard a rumor of Canadian troops gathering on the border out west...just in case of trouble in CA, when CA collapses.

We are working against very dark forces that have no fear of spilling our blood. While we work to peacefully restore the balance to our government; we must realize they will not give up that power peacefully. We always seem to estimate there is a reasonable faction on the other side. I don’t think there is this time.

You see, we the silent majority, have found our voices. When we start speaking out, rallying, etc. they know we mean business. I’ve never seen a movement like we have now, not on this scale, not this loud and certainly not this motivated. They will not let the reins of power go easily.

Each of must decide if we have the strength to take away those reins? The image in my head is that of the “Nanny” who comes to the out of control home and sets things right. Teaches the parents to be parents and the kids disciplined.

Actually, the conversation I heard between a Major and Lieutenant focused not on whether or not the military would turn on the public, but whether they would turn on Obama.

"...“civil unrest” = too many white people in line at polling places..."

Or too many white people anywhere at any time, exercising any type of right. Those damn white people must be subjugated for the regime change to be succesful.

I’ve always found it HORRIFIC that law enforcement officers were able to cover their badge numbers and all identifying insignia when acting on behalf of the police state.

Anonymity gives the incentive to do things that you wouldn’t do if you could be identified for doing them.

“Isn’t this unconstitutional?”

That’s not a question that naturally occurs to very many people in the current administration.

IIRC, “Army Times” is not a military paper. Maybe some Freepers will know who they are connected with. I cannot remember now.

It is really a question of, “Would the officers order soldiers to fire on American citizens?”

I have friends that are officers or former officers in the military, and unanamously, they have told me that if they ordered their 17, 18, 19 yr. old troops to fire, they would do it. The troops are trained to follow orders.

Kent State as example.

Any person supporting the Loon should be IMMEDIATELY kicked out of the military.

Our military is a place for those with honor and integrity.

NO ONE WHO SUPPORTS THE LOON HAS EITHER.

Period.

(Whew, out of breath after all that shouting.)

Obama doesn’t care about posse comitatus or any other law, he sees himself as the law!

The special force, which is the new name being given to the 1st Brigade Combat Team of the 3rd Infantry, has been training at Fort Stewart, Georgia and is composed of 80,000 troops.

That's more like a Corps level element- 4 Divisions in size, not a Brigade.
