In October of this year, one month prior to the November midterm elections, a special army unit known as 'Consequence Management Response Force' will be ready for deployment on American soil if so ordered by the President.
According to the Army Times,
They may be called upon to help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.
The key phrase is 'may be called upon to help with civil unrest.'
This afternoon a local radio talk show host reported that he had been in contact with a member of the military. This military source stated that the armed forces have been alerted to the strong possibility that civil unrest may occur in the United States this summer, prior to the midterm elections of 2010.

“Potentially horrific scenarios”=People voting for Republicans
Could end up being interesting. Would American soldiers fire on their own citizens for Obama?
Would ohter military units defend citzens being attacked by special government units?
Could be interesting times ahead..
Two words: Oath Keepers
“civil unrest” = too many white people in line at polling places
“Would American soldiers fire on their own citizens for Obama?”

That’s an interesting question, but I don’t believe they would. I have faith in our military—the finest in the world. They wouldn’t, I think, fire on their neighbors, relatives, friends.
Kent State comes to mind.
LOL at both of your posts. :)
Relatively poorly trained National Guard troops, if I remember correctly. Nonetheless, the times ARE interesting.
LOL ... you have defined the enemy of the Obama zombie state.
Yes, it was the NG. I have no knowledge of their training, though. Those were horrible times. I hope it doesn’t come to that again but I fear it will.
I better buy another roll of foil!
“Could end up being interesting.”

Wasn’t there a Chinese curse about wishing that someone live in interesting times? I guess we’ve got that now.
What is not generally known about the National Guard troops at Kent State, is that they had just completed a week or more duty at a coal mine site where a violent strike was going on and they were being shot at. Thus you had tired troops who had been shot at put into a new, potentially violent, situation.

Isn’t this unconstitutional?
Can anyone corroborate this ‘military source’ that there is a strong possibility of civil unrest this summer?
Let’s start there....FReepers have plenty of contacts in the military....and confirm or deny this.
Until then, this may be hysteria.

Thanks! If I ever heard that, I had forgotten. Helps put things in perspective. In 1968 I was 16 - didn’t have much perspective at all then.
