It's guts ball time for an Army surgeon who has vowed not to deploy to Afghanistan with his unit unless President Obama provides evidence that he's a "natural born" citizen of the United States.
In response to previously published statements by Lt. Col. Terrence Lakin, the Army presented an official letter of counseling that directs him to report to Fort Campbell, Ky., on April 12 to begin deployment preparations with his unit.

Show me a Birth Certificate that lists the race of the child.
Military authority flows from the Constitution, through the CNC (Obie) and down to the guy who signed the orders and to the guy protesting them. The Officer Corps swears allegiance to the constitution and NOT to the CNC/president, George Washington was kind of hard line on that concept. The issue is whether or not it is, in the end, a LEGAL order, and an order initiated by an illegal authority should be pretty clearly not enforceable.
Otherwise you are correct, the guy is toast.

A I recall, military.com is a San Francisco based website.
We take an oath to defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Art II section 1 specifies the two basic criteria to be eligible for president. Natural born means both parent u.s. citizens. Obama upon birth had dual citizenship thus ineligible. The media claims he is natural born, he is not. Thus orders by the military going over seas is under the direction of the president as ultimate CinC. Therefore orders out of the country is invalid.
Anyone who dares to question the birth certificate or educational documents WILL BE and ARE NOW BEING VILLIFIED. The real "audacity" is not "hope," but lack of full disclosure.
History is also replete with decent folks who sat back and did NOTHING while very bad things happened.
Then what is? Courts have thrown out many lawsuits on "standing". At least if they send him to a Court Martial, there would be no question of standing. He'd at least get a chance to argue that the orders are illegal, and why. Doesn't mean he'd get "discovery", but it might not be required, depending on his arguement.

I don’t know any true conservative that wouldn’t love to see Obama removed from office (through impeachment or over the eligibility issue) before he destroys our great country. At this point, it shouldn’t matter whether you believe the issue has merit or not...we should all be praying that it does and that we can remove the marxist thug punk before he gets us all killed or enslaves every man woman and child for generations to come to the service of communism!

Obama is hiding a lot. Hell, I would expect a PFC to question the legality of his Company CO’s order(s) as it is the officer who gives the orders based on his commission/serving at the pleasure of the President.
Correct. A Court-Martial will not look in any way at the President’s birth certificate. All they will care about is if the order was signed by proper authority. If so, then the LTC is guilty.
If I were on the Board, I would find him guilty and sentence him as appropriate.
Except that what Lakin is doing isn't legal. That's why he'll be prosecuted for disobeying orders.
What's sad about this situation is that Lakin has been duped into believing that some Internet rumors are facts. I read his letter on American Thinker explaining his reasons for his actions. Unfortunately, some (not all) of the facts he cited as evidence are not facts at all but rather reguritated talking points from the birther narrative. He's putting his career and retirement benefits on the line without checking his facts.
Suppose a soldier had refused to obey the orders of GWB sending him to Iraq, based on the idea that GWB wasn’t the real President because the 2000 election was stolen by the SCOTUS.
