Heres a copy of an e-mail sent to me by an operative.
Urge Discovery to Drop Sarah Palins New Show
Discovery Communications the parent company of The Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, TLC and others, and known for their wildlife-focused programs is planning to produce an 8-part TV show on Sarah Palins Alaska.
Sarah Palins Alaska is a reality TV show that aims to showcase the powerful beauty of Alaska, according to Discoverys TLC website.
But the real Sarah Palin is no friend of Alaskas natural heritage. While in office, the former governor fought against increased protections for endangered whales and Americas dwindling populations of polar bears in favor of oil and gas development, supported dangerous drilling for oil in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge, and escalated Alaskas brutal aerial wolf-killing program.
Yet according to reports, Palin will earn about $1 million per episode from the nature-focused series.
Act now, Send a powerful message to Discovery Communications expressing your disappointment at their action and urging them to drop Sarah Palins new show from their programming schedule.
Its important that the truth about Sarah Palins record not be swept under the rug by her celebrity. Palins disrespect for the environment and disregard for science and has done real damage to Alaskas wildlife and endangered Alaskas natural heritage.
Send a message to Discovery Communications and let them know that Sarah Palin doesnt deserve to represent the powerful beauty of Alaska in front of millions of people.
Take action today>

Targeting: Mr. David Zaslav (President and CEO, Discovery Communications)

Sarah Palin has signed on with reality TV producers and Discovery Communications to star in a new TV show about Alaska and its outdoors.
But the ugly reality is that as governor for only two-and-a-half years, Sarah Palin escalated a bloody aerial wolf-slaughter campaign that continues to this very day. She even planned to offer a $150 bounty for the severed forelimb of each killed wolf.
Palin also fought against increased protections for endangered Cook Inlet beluga whales and Americas dwindling populations of polar bears.
Sign our petition to Discovery Communications and let them know that Sarah Palin doesnt deserve to represent the powerful beauty of Alaska in front of millions of people.
“THIS FALL on the Discovery Channel...despite popular demand...
Obama’s KENYA.”
Based on your pic, they can call it “Running of the Bolshiviks”.
Millions are out of work, our country is going bankrupt, we have ilsamists trying to destroy us, and this clown is worried about a television show.
Speaks volumes.
They are slime. This is a blatant abuse of power.
(((PING)))
As it is, I doubt Obama and Soros will be able to kill the show since it will be a ratings bonanza for Discovery/TLC, with all the attention its getting before a single episode even airs.
Sarah Palin promotes safe, clean co-uses of resources, like drill rigs among the whales (which is working just fine). She assumers Alaska’s resources belong to the Alaskan people and saw to it, when she was Governor, that they benefitted.
This caterwauling about animals is pure Liberal poppycock.
Read her book “Going Rogue”, President Nimrod The Dictator!
We’re handing our enemies ammunition when we don’t have our facts straight and make baseless charges.
The Rats can make all kinds of deliberately lying, off the mark accusations seem to stick to conservatives; why not return the favor when the situation is, at best, ambiguous?
Why have morals at all?
Why give a Rat the benefit of the doubt?
OK, I went and looked at change.org (on a Linux system, so as not to get a virus). Obama has probably figured out a way of ducking direct responsibility, but the meme of “change” is remarkable considering that this predates Obama’s own use of it. It is certainly fair to refer to these fine folk as Obamabots.
I am hoping that God will drop Obama where he stands and makes it obvious that it is a Divine Judgment.
Agreed. The title on FR implicates Obama.
HAHAHAHA damn hippies and tree huggers. They’re funny.
I heard Sarah also threw a recyclable aluminum can in the trash once. GASP!!! The horrors! Ban Sarah Palin!!1!
My first thought as well, this letter literally reads right out of the Alinsky playbook. I once blindly volunteered for a community organizing organization back in like 2004, my task force was to help stop youth violence. A noble cause, but I quit however after I found out how radical left the organization was. But these are the kind of emails they would send me all the time.
Yes, I saw some rabid leftists associates of mine trying to drum up folks to demand Discovery drop this because Palin was inappropriate to host a show about nature in Alaska.
WTH... Leftist are blooming insane. Liberalism is a mental disorder.
Wow.
Oprah the city-slicker, on a nature show? The only thing she knows how to track in the wild is her next Cinnabun snack.
I think there would be a huge libel lawsuit for this one. It goes beyond a political statement, it is interference in a private citizen’s ability to make money.
You know that just for accuracy sake that its change.com (official Obama White House site) and change.org (unofficial political arm and somewhat stealthy site - Non-White House). So this is somewhat inaccurate: “Obama White House siteObama Attempting To Force Discovery Channel to Drop Palins New Show
Change.org (Obama White House) ^ | April 6, 2010 | Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund” As far as the issue itself, yeah I agree with you, they cry censorship at the drop of the hat for their side yet they want to censor anything we have.
