Despite a modest rise last month in employment, the White House on Sunday braced out-of-work Americans for a slow economic recovery.

Obama's chief economic adviser Lawrence Summers said on a pair of talk shows that a year after the passage of the stimulus bill, the U.S. economy still has "a long way to go."

Summers said pushing the unemployment rate down from its current 9.7 percent level won't be easy.

He said Obama was preoccupied with creating jobs. "The trend has turned, but to get back to the surface, we've got a long way to go," Summers said.

These people are delusional.

No, not delusional. They simply believe their own propaganda.

I have never seen an Administration like this one that has spent so much time worrying about creating policy that would advance hiring by small businesses in this country. NOT!!!

They are probably a little confused that things aren’t better after all this spending. They all learned from Econ 101 on in college and grad school that debt spending will increase the growth rate of an economy. Too brain dead to apply common sense and compare it to an individual. A little bit of debt is not good, but is manageable for a household. Too much debt and you are bankrupt and ultimately can’t get any more credit.

"Despite a modest rise last month in employment..."

It's called the U.S. Census, and everyone over 3 years of age knows it! Do these clowns even believe their own drivel?!

The Obama administration is doing the economic equivalent of continuously picking the scab off of a healing wound. The underpinnings of our free market economy are the robust healing response that we need, but healing is repeatedly impaired by the administration's policy initiatives and intrusions into the market place.

Most wounds eventually heal, even if the scab keeps getting removed, and likely there will be economic recovery at some point. The fawning media will then inaccurately depict Obama as the great economic healer, when in reality it will be the greatness of the American system that finds ways around Obama’s policies that achieves this.

"He said Obama was preoccupied with creating jobs."

Government Jobs! The President said during the campaign that we need a civilian security force which is as big as the U.S. Military.

He said we need it to defend this nation but he did not say from whom. It is clear that he means to build an army of supporters who will prey on the rest of us.

Freedom loving Americans will call it Tyranny but OBAMA calls it 'job creation'.

The moron just told us that 162,000 jobs were created last month. The majority are census workers and those will be gone shortly. Besides that, those census jobs had no health care!

If you repeat a lie often enough....in this case the public just gets tired of hearing/reading it.

"He said Obama was preoccupied with creating jobs."

Yes, if you're a national socialist, you'll have plenty of work in this administration.
