Could be Turkish or Syrian, but probably Russian. There’s an amusing anecdote from one of the books (I forget which) on either the 1967 or 1973 war (I forget which, but I think it was the 1973) — the Russians on hand to “advise” the Egyptians (and the others who were flying out of Egypt, must have been 1973) were scornful of the abilities of the Arab pilots, who were getting shot down like crazy, and the IAF had to contend also with the SAM shield along the Canal. The Russians didn’t like to waste so many planes, so they went up instead, and got their asses handed to them by the very same IAF.
The Arabs had a good laugh at Russian expense during and after.

The risk is high that Israel’s enemies are emboldened and attack, thinking or knowing that Oblama will not have Israel’s back. Conversely, the risk is high that Israel thinks Oblama doesn’t have their back and is compelled to attack to thwart a real or imagined threat. Also, Israel while Oblama is POTUS, may need to nuke some neighbors just to make the point that they are not to be f’d with.
