Huge crowds expected for McCain-Palin event
The East Valley Tribune, Phoenix, Ariz. ^ | 2010-03-23 | Mike Sakal

Campaign staff and volunteers of Sen. John McCain and his former vice presidential running mate Sarah Palin are preparing for the pair’s appearance at Mesa’s Dobson High School on Saturday.

A spokesman for the camp offered a bit of advice for those wanting to get in: “Folks should get there early,” said Brian Rogers, McCain’s communications director. The event is free, on a first-come, first-served basis and does not require a ticket.

(snip)

Also speaking at a rally in Tucson on Friday, the appearances are McCain and Palin’s first ones together at a public event since their concession speech in the 2008 presidential race.

Their appearance comes just four days after President Barack Obama signed a $938 billion health care reform bill. McCain has been an outspoken critic of the bill and plans to lead an effort to repeal it.

Palin, the former governor of Alaska, is stumping for McCain. She will speak about McCain’s values and what she learned from him during their 2008 presidential campaign and through his battles against his own party line, Rogers said.

McCain will speak about what he appreciates in Palin’s leadership, and speak out against what he believes are misguided priorities in the White House including government overspending, his concerns for the 17 percent unemployment rate in Arizona and the state’s home foreclosure problem as 48 percent of homeowners in Arizona are under water, according to Rogers.

Well,that is good news.
I would think after ObamaCare passing that he’d be done with him as most will.

DeMint didn't get to where he is by NOT being able to read the handwriting on the wall. The fact that Romney is still doing some fund raising for DeMint in South Carolina is troublesome, but I'm not aware of any truly viable challenger to DeMint in his re-election bid anyway, do you know of any?

Being a Conservative means in part, that you have to take personal responsibility for your actions. What you libtards are doing is pleading the case from the Democrat perspective. And sadly, you don’t even know it.

John MeCain’s record is blatantly clear. If you remember nothing else, remember this gem from his lips. “You have nothing to fear from an Obama administration.” One of my other favorites is, “I have a lot of respect for the Democrats and their fine goals.”

So here you are trying to defend a person guilty of what John is, and another person who is helping to raise funding and support for John against a real Conservative.

Here’s MeCain’s full record for the dark side, at least what I was able to dig up. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2451231/posts?page=263#263

And despite this, you both come here to frame those who call MeCain and Palin on all this, Democrat shills or Paultards.

We are where we are today, because nobody stood up to the RINOs in our party and demanded they abide by Conservative principles. It is another “Time for Choosing” as Ronald Reagan once said, and I choose Conservatism over RINOs and those who shill for them.

I would personally appreciate it if you two would quite shilling for RINOs and those who shill for them.

I am not a person who supports Democrats. I am not a supporter of Ron Paul. I am not a supporter of anyone who walks across the isle for five years at a time, and I am not a supporter of anyone who can campaign for such a disgusting lout.

Sarah Palin will be the next president of the United States!

She's not going to run for president.

Remember, she quit halfway through her first term as governor of the fourth least populous state and went home to write a book.

I know that some people claim she quit the governorship in order to position herself for a presidential run. As one columnist retorted, "it’s as if she quit the Wiffle Ball circuit and started dropping hints she was ready to play for the Yankees."

DeMint is about as safe a senate seat as we will get.

You and Keith Olbermann agree.

I can’t wait to see you people moaning that the GOP nominated a RINO. Pathetic.

What in the world are you talking about? I haven't lied about a single thing. You just don't like the idea that Hunter won't run again. Time will out and I will be proved right.

You have really jumped the shark with this, pissant. It's frankly disturbing.

JD is a pork barreller par excellance! Just what we need to ratchet up the debt and deficit all the higher.

And McCain did buck his party from the right:

He opposed George W’s incredibly expensive new entitlement program called Medicare Part D.

And he opposed George W’s tax cuts in a time of war - when we actually need the money to fight the war.

That was the beginning of the huge deficits that Bush racked up with his Compassionate Conservatism - which have now been quadrupled by BO.

But McCain stood against his own party and his own president to be fiscally responsible in a time of war.

You purists out there shouting JD is the Messiah and McCain the devil need to know your facts.

McCain is on the right side of spending and always has been.

JD is terrible on spending.

And why would Palin be getting daily briefings from experts on foreign and domestic policy if she were ruling out a presidential run?

Dream on, all you Romney//Paul/Daniels/Ryan/Thune/anyone-but-that-woman-Palin fans out there. Your guys more than likely will have to compete with Palin in the 2012 GOP primaries. That’s why we have primaries.

Deal with it like men rather than trying to kneecap the competition so it’s not a fair fight. Let the cream - whoever that may be as a result of the primary debates, fund raising, records, and campaigns - rise to the top.

If you want to raise taxes, go right out and admit it, newbie McCainiac.

"But McCain stood against his own party and his own president to be fiscally responsible in a time of war."

Like he did when he suspended his campaign to join Bush, Obama, and Paulson in Washington to pass a massive fascist bailout of the biggest banks.

Whether he runs again or not has NOTHING to do with you lying through your teeth about what he said about running again.

Where’s the link of me suggesting Hunter run 3rd party, BTW?

You’ve become another Palin coronation fart sniffer who will lie to protect her coronation.

DeMint was an early supporter of Mitt Romney

"That was then FRiend, this is now. DeMint hasn't indicated that he would support Mitt-Witt this time around, and took himself out of the running as well."

About 11 weeks ago Palin supported DeMint with a sizable check, and Michele Bachman with an even larger one.

Eveningstar is one of our anti conservative, pro-gay, pro-Rudy Giuliani freepers, so keep every thing that she says about the conservative Palin in perspective.

By-the-way, would’nt a troll (Democrat) be pushing the virtues of McCain on us?

No, trolls are generally interested in Presidential politics, that would mean looking at the three Republican frontrunners for 2012 and making sure that Governor Palin is blocked, which makes the coronation of Mitt Romney more assured.

I expect cries of B.... S..... for her and when he speaks it will be “you lie”

Remember when he got all red faced and angry when people called him on immigration amnesty.

Will he vote for the fence this time?

How about calling mclame on his new found conservative faith when he has a republican opponent but not when he fights a democrat?

Sorry Sarah, NO SALE.

“JD is a pork barreller par excellance! “

McCain signed off on more federal spending than J.D. by 50,000 times, just in the last 1 1/2 years. You lie!

Name one FReeper in the history of Free Republic that ever said anything remotely like this? You lie!

“McCain is on the right side of spending and always has been.”

“Better check your facts, and run the numbers. You are either lying, or are lazy, or stupid.

“Deal with it like men rather than trying to kneecap the competition so it’s not a fair fight. Let the cream - whoever that may be as a result of the primary debates, fund raising, records, and campaigns - rise to the top.”

GOP/RNC shill. Disgusting!
