Anyone know what happens while it is in the courts? I know some of the taxes are supposed to kick in immediately even though the benefits do not start for several years. I wonder if we will have to pay the additional taxes while it is in the courts.

Action by the states is warranted because the HC bill is unconstitutional. It is an unfunded mandate on the states and their citizens

Frankly, I don’t want Kalifornia to join in.

Everybody would be better off if the US were to sell off Kalifornia to the Chinese to pay off the national debt. It would be a win-win exchange. Most Kalis want to be communist, so PRC sovereignty should suit them. The US government resolve a good portion of its national debt. The Chinese would get some real estate rather than paper of dubious quality. And the rest of us would be rid of Hollywood liberals and California communists.

Orange County might object, so maybe it would have to be carved out in a new Orange Free State.

Actually, we need conservatives in Austin, Houston, Dallas, etc. The little towns have our own outspoken conseratives who punch holes in stupid stuff. cities seem to need a few good folks. Just, after you move here, don’t EVER say,

I believe it requires 2/3 of the states to convene a convention to propose amendments and then 3/4 of the states approval for an amendment to become a part of the constitution. A real high hurdle to overcome but possibly it is time to try.
