U.S. Rep. Glenn Nye announced Saturday night he is voting against against the Democratic health care bill today, saying it doesnt do enough to lower the cost of health care.
Over the past year, I have spoken with countless small business owners, families, medical professionals, and average citizens across Virginias 2nd District, and it became very clear that this bill was not the right solution for Virginias health care challenges, Nye said in a written statement. There were many strong points in this bill that I would have been happy to support individually, but the package as a whole had serious problems.

Maybe he had a visit with the Virginia AG or maybe some of Virginia's State Legislators??? Or both!
This is good. My unofficial count (compiled from every other count out there and updated by news posted here) now stands at 209 Yes, 216 No, and 6 Unknown. Even if she gets all the Unknowns, it ain’t enough. Of course, this is based on what these people say, which doesn’t make it very reliable. But I’m pretty happy with how things look right now.
One man who has courage to do the right thing.
Interesting thing is that the she is now counted as a “No” and is out of contact with House Dem leaders.
Nye was a “NO” last time..I know because he is my delegate. Must who flooded his office thought he might go this way again. For a democrat he is good!
How long before his pension kicks in?
Do not assume Pelosi ok’d it. Zack Space said he was not released by pelosi to do anything.
It’s probably political, but I’m still glad to have this “no” vote. Hopefully, other skittish ‘Rats will follow.
Did NYE get some bad kobe beef at the white house get together?????
Go Virginia!
I thanked him on his Facebook page and it was immediately removed.
Won't work this time...if 'health care' passes; we will do our best to remove as many Democrats from office as humanly possible; regardless of how they voted. ALL Democrats need to be booted out; even the local town clerk. Make them ALL pay...
Not every Democrat — Dan Boren of OK has stated over and over again there is nothing to make him vote YES — absolutely nothing. So that is one Dem and there must be others.
when did Sanchez say she’s a no?
If Hoffman had won that NY23 race that’d be another vote. If that ends up being the decisive factor here I may throw up.
There’s another group that has a problem too, they can’t change the Senate bill;

House Democratic leaders were working to head off a possible revolt among 15 lawmakers upset that House-passed increases in Medicare reimbursements for local hospitals were removed from the legislation.
The latest bill contains Senate language that several Democrats said doesnt do enough to overcome geographic disparities in Medicare reimbursements.
We need to make sure providers are reimbursed more on value than volume, said Rep. Ron Kind, D-Wis., whos undecided on how hell vote Sunday.
Still waiting for McMahon and Baird to declare.

Nye will keep his job.
Sanchez voting No? I went to the OC Register and there is no news about it.
She is an endangered Democrat. While she won the last few elections easily, her district usually has a lower turnout than her OC counterparts and a surge of conservative independents and a good candidate can drive her out.
