The vote tally on health care reform is starting to look like the Dow.
Just when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi seemed to be one vote shy of the 216 she needs for health care reform to pass, a Democrat who voted for the bill last year says he's switching his vote to no.

The rats are counting on these bribes to help them face the voters in upcoming elections.
“Oh how I would love to be a fly on the wall at all the behind-the-scenes arm twisting sessions going on within the Democrat caucus right now.”
Bring a videocamera with you; all America should see this.
They're just holding out so that they can get attention, a payoff, or maybe a ride on AF 1, like Kucininch.
I call her Madam Nancy...not as in madam speaker, but more in the madam of a whorehouse.
“props to him, then.”
Don’t be fooled. I live in his district and he is a solid yes vote. This is just a game to get something to take back to Oregonians. I’ve heard him support every single thing Obama, Pelosi, and Reid have proposed. He has NEVER wavered. This man is a solid yes vote!
MSNBC is now running a crawl saying (Im paraphrasing) that the vote may be delayed beyond Sunday if the Dems cant nail down 216. This is the first time Ive seen this, interesting, do you think Nancy is starting to cover her rear?
Very interesing
It may be Pelosi has told her butt boys to switch to no if they fear unemployment. The calculation may be DemonPass will draw anger on the Congress as a whole, but spare each “Yeah” POS Representative.
Once this is over she and Reid are counting on the GOP to resume their role as Willing Ass Kissers. I am hoping against hope that no matter how this turns out, the GOP finally gets it. To win this war, we have to be willing to fight.
[I would type the equivalent of willing Lewinsky’ers or Kucinich’er’s but don’t want to get my post pulled :-) Might not type it, but you can be damned sure I am thinking it.]
Pass the eyewash, please.
Bingo!
“Pass the eyewash, please.”
ROFL!!!!!
"John Adams, The Works of John Adams, vol. 4 (Novanglus, Thoughts on Government, Defence of the Constitution) - NO. III. - paragraph 144
"Obista principiis (translation: resist the beginnings), nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers, and destroyers press upon them so fast, that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon the American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour. The revenue creates pensioners, and the pensioners urge for more revenue. The people grow less steady, spirited, and virtuous, the seekers more numerous and more corrupt, and every day increases the circles of their dependents and expectants, until virtue, integrity, public spirit, simplicity, and frugality, become the objects of ridicule and scorn, and vanity, luxury, foppery, selfishness, meanness, and downright venality swallow up the whole society."
Any Democrat who stands against this President and these tyrannical leaders of the House and Senate deserves the praise and recognition of a grateful nation.
Rahm gettin’ ready to drop the bath towel!
Let’s send DeFazio some emails congratulating him on deciding to vote no. We can’t afford for him to flip back the other way.
They should. Unfortunately, transparency in our legislative process is a thing of the distant past. With apologies to Bismark (or Saxe or whoever actually coined the phrase), we couldn’t even watch the sausage being made if we wanted to.
Anyone have any "mind's eye wash"?
Voting in new representatives won’t change Congress. It’s in need of a drastic rules overhaul. And term limits.
I read that Utica, New York’s Congressman Mike Arcuri also now has said “NO”. My dad’s home town comes through.
Any one remember Utica Club Beer? How ‘bout Schultz and Dooley?
