A dozen were expected.....40 showed up. It was a stampede!

There was definitely not a latte attendees since most who showed up probably had their spouses and significant drips with them.

I suppose they drank nothing but Green Mountain coffee served in recycled cups donated by the local medical lab testing facility.

After kvetching in their little sensitivity training circles on how to sanka the Tea Party movement, I guess they finally folgered their tents and stole away, brushing the biscotti crumbs off their designer Gloria jeans.

If I were to expresso my opinion, this "Coffee Party" on a scale of 1 to 10 urned a 5-minus.

Unlike the coffee party, we’ve got the Zeitgeist on our side.

That's a wonderful Adams quote.

What pygmies are running the country now. We'll never again see the likes of the Founders; we've squandered their legacy.

My thoughts exactly when I read that. At the Tea Parties, we maybe listened to some speeches to rouse the crowd, but generally people came with homemade signs and meandered about in a public place being visible and socialized freely with like-minded partiers.

Coffee Parties meet in reserved rooms and break into facilitated discussions. Now tell me, where is the AstroTurf?

Imitation is not the sincerest form of flattery, it's an indication that you're not prepared to add value to whatever your endeavoring to accomplish. Mediocrity is the domain of the uninspired, survival is the refuge of the incompetent. Success is a function of applied ingenuity and extraordinary effort.

From 'About George Papison' at your link. It's all about the slogan with them.

And an unemployed flake to boot. I’m curious as to how much ‘stimulus’ money he’s being paid to do this.

I say let the “coffee party” have their oppressive big government in their own states and let the TEA party have their small government and freedom. Let everyone make for themselves what they so desire, and let nature be the judge.

But then again that liberating idea is exactly what the “coffee party” apposes. They wish to see to it that everyone is FORCED to live by their big government solutions and the consequences of the same.

they wish to uses the Federal government for theses tasks, they wish not to permit us the right to go our own coarse, no for them it is their way or the high way.

That is the essential difference between the Coffee party and the TEA party.

It is one of liberty, one of natural justices, one of respect, one of Self-government, and one ultimately of natural fairness. Theirs in truth allows for none, ours DEMANDS all.

If they think Big Government can not only fix their economic problems but somehow create a “better world” for them and their posterity. Let them try with their own government not ours.

Let them create their own hell, in repeating the same mistakes countless other fools before them have made to solve the same problems with big government.

Let us go our separate ways, let us be free of the oppressive bondage each other. That is perhaps the most critical part of TEA party message. We don’t agree so why force us to be subjects to tyranny against our will?

"perplexed"

I'm flabbergasted at the coffeegrinders statement, but you're right, that about sums up libs. Government is the answer to everything. Wow!!! what great logic. (smirk) And of course if a person objects to the biggest takeover by government of private industry in this country's histroy, why they're "racists." It seems "you're just a racist" is libs response to every question put to them. It saves them from having to think seriously about anything.

"stay away from the bozos"

I wouldn't. I'd use it as an opportunity to argue. You never know who you're going to convince. How do I know this? Because I was a Democrat many years ago who switched mostly due to talking to (very young) conservatives who easily combated my Dem/lib talking points. I considered myself a conservative Dem, but I realized after talking to these people that the Dems were wrong about practically everthing. Never underestimate the power of rational thinking. It can even convince obstinate Dems.

I wonder how many of these pro-government zealots showed up with their checkbooks in hand and emptied their bank accounts into the government coffers. If the government is the answer, step up an speak with your assets comrades.

Talk about astroturf. Here’s the real deal. These fools don’t even know why the movement is called the “Tea Party”.

From the Coffee Party USA website:

Coffee Party USA

Q: Is Coffee Party USA affiliated with billionaire George Soros, the founder Soros Fund Management and Open Society Institute?

No. Coffee Party USA uses Democracy in Action to work parts of our website. Democracy in Action has received funding from Mr. Soros, but Coffee Party USA does not receive any money or influence from either the Open Society Institute nor from Mr. Soros.

I did not inhale!
