WEST PALM BEACH Venting about the conservative tea party movement and talking at times heatedly about the need for civility in public discourse marked the debut meeting of a local "coffee party" group today.
About 40 people showed up for the meeting at a Panera Bread restaurant, where organizer George Papison had booked a small room in expectation of a dozen or fewer.
The meeting was one of hundreds planned for today across the nation by Coffee Party U.S.A., a group that sprang from Facebook rantings against the tea party movement by filmmaker and Obama supporter Annabel Park.
"Frankly, we are petrified by the tea party and what they stand for and what they're talking about," said Monte Carmel, a retired business executive from West Palm Beach.
"I'm tired of all the misinformation, the cute little labels the fright-wing has thrown on everything," said a man named Russ.
"To me, government is the answer. I'm really sort of perplexed," said a man named Joe who said he had been a teacher for 44 years.
We’ll grind your “coffee”, and cream it too!
point taken...
Useful Idots outing themselves. Potential Brown Shirts. LOL
I wonder if Rush sent over a representative?
Holy crap, that does sum it up.
I have liberal friends but even they largely see government as a necessary evil. (I couldn’t remain friends with a lamebrain like “Joe” there.)
" Next, the attendees are broken up into smaller groups of seven or eight people. Each group has its own facilitator. The group facilitators steer participants to discuss preset issues, employing the same tactics as the lead facilitator.
Participants are encouraged to put their ideas and disagreements on paper, with the results to be compiled later. Who does the compiling? If you ask participants, you typically hear: "Those running the meeting compiled the results." Oh-h! The next question is: "How do you know that what you wrote on your sheet of paper was incorporated into the final outcome?" The typical answer is: "Well, I've wondered about that, because what I wrote doesn't seem to be reflected. I guess my views were in the minority."
That is the crux of the situation. If 50 people write down their ideas individually, to be compiled later into a final outcome, no one knows what anyone else has written. That the final outcome of such a meeting reflects anyone's input at all is highly questionable, and the same holds true when the facilitator records the group's comments on paper. But participants in these types of meetings usually don't question the process. "
Why would anyone be petrified by lower taxes and more freedom?
Proof that Liberalism is a Mental Disorder. . .
...and all of it financed by George Soros.
Yeah, one would think that Pelosi would come out and call them an astroturf movement funded by left wing elitists....opps, my bad, forgot that Pelosi is a left wing elitist.....
John Hancock has the Latin phrase etched on his burial memorial in Boston.

ORIGINAL STORY 2/13 Scott Patrick Wilson had just graduated UCF last May with a degree in mechanical engineering. On Friday, his dreams for a bright future ended when a Palm Beach County billionaire crashed into him and sent his car soaring into a Wellington canal, according to reports.
The billionaire, John Goodman, was driving a Bentley and had just left a bar before the deadly crash in Wellington, according to WPTV News Channel 5. Goodman is now under investigation for a possible DUI.
I don’t think charges have been brought,yet.
Bingo!
“I have liberal friends”
So that you are, in effect, dancing with the enemy.
I stay away from the bozos. When I find out that someone I know is a lib I sever the association, period, no ifs, ands, or buts.
‘Beaners?’
(There is probably some urban slang meaning.)
“Beaners” = “Mexicans”, usually.....unless that word has changed to include all illegal alien Hispanics.
Because he's been living off the gov't teat for his whole life. His livelihood and retirement benefits are dependent on the expansion of the nanny state and confiscatory tax rates.

Tea Party:
* Individuals have Inalienable Rights that NO GOVERNMENT may infringe upon without their consent. A Right is a restriction on Government Power
* That the Constitution is only Valid when taken as an expression of that Consent, and therefore its ORIGINAL MEANING as understood by the people is paramount in determining the laws under which we live. It was a contract between the people to form a government, with limited powers, with all other powers being reserved to the people or to the States. A process for Amendment was provided for changes to the contract, and amendment is the only VALID means of changing its meaning, because it is the only method which preserves the explicit consent of the people.
* the role of Government is to prevent individuals from doing demonstrable harm to each other through the violation of an individual’s inalienable rights, and administering institutions set up for the general welfare and with the people’s express consent. Fundamentally the Governments goal is to protect the inalienable rights of its citizens from attack from either within or without.
* It is the individuals responsibility to pursue and ensure his own happiness in accord with his abilities, and his right to decide between right and wrong and when, if and how to contribute to the welfare of his fellow man.
“Coffee Party”:
* The Government has the right to suspend or modify the Rights of individuals without resort to Amendment, and can do so purely through the legislative process. In effect this means that personal liberty is what you have left over after a simple majority have made their demands upon you. A Right is a benefit given to all or some using the confiscated labors of others.
* The Constitution is open to modification and interpretation without a need to obtain the express consent of the people.
* The Primary role of government isn’t merely to protect, but to ensure its citizens “do the right thing” as determined by a simple majority, and to correct imbalances perceived by the simple majority to be unfair. In short, to take care of its citizens as a farmer maintains the animals on his farm - ensuring each receives food, health care, sand shelter, making use of animals most suited for work to do that work, and using the proceeds to care for all.
* Responsibility for the care of any individual who either cannot or will not provide for themselves falls to the community, who will then use the force of government to indenture certain individuals to entitle the fruits of their labor to those who cannot or will not care for themselves.
