His then-pending discharge as a sergeant was changed to that of a corporal.

A reduction in rank requires NJP or a court-martial.

As did VVAW, Kokesh's Iraq Veterans against the War (IVAW) holds that America is an imperialistic country, that the military is merely a tool of the government, and that our soldiers are little more than marauders and murderers who, in the words of John Kerry, behave ''in a fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan.''

Thanks, IT!

June, 1970 -- Kerry joins Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), a national veterans group that is part of the Peoples Coalition for Peace and Justice. The PCPJ is a broad coalition of local and national organizations, including the Communist Party, USA, "committed to conducting demonstrations aimed at ending the war in Indochina, and poverty, racism and injustice at home." The VVAW, CCI and PCPJ all have headquarters at 156 Fifth Avenue in New York City. VVAW Executive Secretary Al Hubbard, a former Black Panther, is also on the coordinating committee of the PCPJ. Hubbard soon appoints Kerry to the VVAW's Executive Committee, bypassing the normal election process.

Fact: The Black Panthers were revolutionary communists...

From the Maoist Internationist Movement:
[1960s/original] Black Panther Party [BPP] Archives
From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROS

"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo [i.e., the police].

Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.

The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."

To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

November 22, 1970 -- During a fund-raising tour for GI deserters, Vietnam Veterans Against the War and the Black Panthers, Jane Fonda is quoted in the Detroit Free Press as telling a University of Michigan audience:

"I would think that if you understood what communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees that we would someday become communist," and "The peace proposal of the Viet Cong is the only honorable, just, possible way to achieve peace in Vietnam."

In my book, there is no such thing as "a patriotic anti-war/anti-military veteran."

When Kerry pulled his lying "testimony" before congress, Viet Nam was behind me and I was in Germany. We heard that "some Lieutenant" had thrown us under the bus, but never who it was.

Kerry almost had my support in 2004, running as a Viet Nam Vet with his chest full of medals, until I heard the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth and finally learned who that Lieutenant was.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Kokesh, with his Kerryesque tactics and attitudes does not belong in the House. A traitor in the Senate is bad enough.

This also goes for clueless, spoiled actors like Val Kilmer who think they should run for political office, after bad mouthing Veterans.

If anybody listens to Mike Church on Sirius Patriot, he has been swallowing the Ron Paul kool aide and therefore keeps mentioning what a great guy Adam Kokesh is. Very disappointing.

JuST DANG ....

“”Germany has long been complicit in America’s aggression.” versus

“he is now pretending to be a patriotic, libertarian-leaning, conservative Republican in his” ...

that he is, judging by his campaign. he is casting himself as a Ron Paul type.. I hope the voters dont get fooled.

Very interesting post. However, about his type of discharge, it is possible to upgrade the type of discharge you received after receiving your DD 214. For 98% of us, we would never have to worry about it, but in my transition assistance class some sailor brought it up.

Kokesh should run to BOR and have BOR defend him like BOR defended Kerry while labeling Swift Vets and those of us who supported the Swift Vets as irrational or worse.

Kokesh sounds like some of the same bsers on Free Republic:

“he is now pretending to be a patriotic, libertarian-leaning, conservative Republican in his congressional campaign.”

So he is running on ‘third Party/Libertarian ticket? If so; where are they and why are they supporting this. More to point; why would anyone. . .Hope this does not get far. Wonder what (and if) Libertairian Glenn Beck might/could/would do to help the right and Conservative cause here. . .like mention this story and the truth of this candidate - assumming all facts are in.

Not sure how I missed 'Republican' - save from reading bottom up and not quite 'catching it' a few words in. . .

This is incredible! Am guessing this letter has not gone to GOP in New Mexico or elsewhere; but will, no doubt, come to their attention; if if has not yet! This falls far below any measure of honest representation; and something should be done about!

PING! to the New Mexico list.

Sorry not to have alerted the list earlier, but I have been really busy at work lately and will continue so for the next couple of months. I check in at FR at least a couple of times a day so you can ping me to a story and I can alert the rest of the list.

However, the NM Ping list is on my home page and anyone can copy and use it without waiting for me to see an article or ping.

And, finally, if anyone would like to be added or removed from the list, please FReepmail me.
