Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is helping out her former running mate with a high dollar fundraiser at the Arizona Biltmore.
Palin will be courting contributions for Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) the GOPs 2008 presidential nominee on March 23 as part of her swing through Arizona to aide his re-election campaign.
For $2,500, McCain donors can attend an hour-long reception with the former GOP vice presidential nominee and get a chance for a picture with Palin.
Those not attending the reception can pay $500 each for a two-hour dinner, or $1,000 for preferred seating.
Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), along with Arizona GOP Reps. Jeff Flake, Trent Franks and John Shadegg will also be at the fundraiser.

That’s a big if with the GOP RINO brigades raising millions for McQueeg.
“How many prominent republicans are sounding the trumpet for the seals? Id love to hear if Bush, Cheney, McCain, McDonnell, Romney ..”
No. Certainly not these guys. I don’t know of any, offhand.
Hardly a talking point. I’ll give you a chance: what has Palin done that is objectionable in your view? What is your single greatest criticism of her?
Yep.
But I can understand any conservative’s frustration with any McCain supporter, regardless of my support for her [which isn’t easy during this primary].
I don’t call Newt a conservative either, anymore-—but that’s my point!!! When a “conservative” does stuff like support McCain, support amnesty, embrace global warming, well, at some point you have to ask, “How conservative are they? How ‘outsider’ are they?”
Every time I turn around someone on our side is helping to destroy our country in the name of “the greater good”. I don’t know who to trust anymore.
“It reaffirms my view that she does not have good advisers.”
One should not need advisors when it comes to McCain. Sarah is either naive to the point of being dangerous, or hoplessly obtuse.
As far as policies go---where they can be tested by performance---DeMint is the most consistent guy out there.
I do not scream. Ladies don’t. I do agree with you about her advisors. I have questioned their wisdom repeatedly but I think Sarah is in charge of what she does. And I admire that. What you call a misstep...is not a misstep according to her. She believes what she believes in and acts accordingly. Though I have been clear I would not vote for her, I do admire her for this. She is not going to change because of the opinion of those on the right. I do not want a politician who changes according to others opinions. She is not going to be swayed by what you or I think. And that is a good thing. In my opinion.
Except when she's getting paid.
Ok I'll respond to your cheap shot but it maybe days before you come back here to read it. If you are referring to Sarah Palin’s Tea Party convention speech.
WALLACE: Word is that you're getting $100,000 for this speech this weekend. True?
PALIN: I'm not getting it. They're writing a check — a $100,000 check. And as I've said from Day One on this, I'm turning right around and being able to contribute it back to the cause. That means to people, to events —
WALLACE: So you're going to use your PAC and contribute it to candidates?
PALIN: I don't know if it's going to go to the PAC or if it goes to some non-profit or what.
Bottom line, I'm not personally benefiting from this. And the funny thing is, as I've had a lot of people, including a couple of talented people and talent at FOX say, funny thing about these type of speeches, Sarah you're an anomaly. Nobody ever has asked, are you getting paid for this? Or, what are you going to do with the money?
But, this is the new normal I think when it comes to me, is people wanting to have me under a microscope and figure out every little detail of my life, including speaking fees.
Bottom line, Tea Party movement, I'm giving the money back to the cause.
Fighting with the liberal media and trading jabs with people on the left is not a criteria to become a President. This is a criteria for a political commentator or a blogger.
add one e ;-)
“The fact is, Palin has made a lot of missteps.”
Outside of loyalty to McCain [which aggravates me too] and getting rolled in a couple lefty interviews, please name one serious misstep.
McCain threw the election. His BC issue was screwed up and he knew Obama was not eleigible. He is for illegal immigration and amnesty. McCain is a stinking RAT.
We have a Dem Congress (2006/2008) and Obama thanks to McCain-Feingold.
Thank you, I agree, there are other great candidates out there, we just have to find them!
Well, I also admire the fact that she doesn’t change-—especially since USUALLY this means she’s right. But it also means that, in the case of this McCain stuff, she won’t admit a mistake. I’m not “down” on Palin, but unlike some here on FR, I’m not uncritical. I’ve yet to see her consistently do the politically smart things it takes to win a national election-—she can come close, but so far her moves don’t add up to victory. But she has a couple of years to fix that.
“Fighting with the liberal media and trading jabs with people on the left is not a criteria to become a President.”
It is enough for many here ;-)
I agree. I cannot help but like her. And what we see as mistakes, I do not think she does. And that is fine.
You betcha.
