You'd think the Obama administration is busy enough controlling the banks, insurance companies and automakers, but thanks to whistleblowers at the Department of the Interior, we now learn they're planning to increase their control over energy-rich land in the West.
A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico, halting job- creating activities like ranching, forestry, mining and energy development. Worse, this land grab would dry up tax revenue that's essential for funding schools, firehouses and community centers.

obama-land O symbol now on US land OK ... so somebody stuck an Obama thing on a fence-post, somebody else took a picture of it.... So what?
I'll be concerned if you can show me that it's government policy to put those things on government signs. Otherwise, it's just more "conservative" hyperventilation.

Demint is a first termer who has some real world abilities, unlike most of the Senate. At this point he seems to be still living in reality, most of the Senate dwells in lala land, totally unconnected with the truth of their own foolishness.

It is a certainty that America could NOT survive a full term if he were able to pass ALL of his Marxist insanity. As to whether we can survive what has already been done and much of that happened before anyone ever heard his name, I am not at all certain that we can.

A secret administration memo has surfaced revealing plans for the federal government to seize more than 10 million acres from Montana to New Mexico...But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.- DOI, 1776

You spent a lot of effort pretty much saying the same thing I did. Good! My intention was to expand on your comments and verify what you said.
How much effort can one expend sitting in front of a computer chatting with friends on FR?

Thanks for expanding on my comments. You list many important concerns.
Although I am a strong gun advocate I have not owned one since mine was stolen in the late seventies. The laws have changed back and forth since then and with “The War on Drugs” it has become too easy to be legal and still get in trouble in certain LE districts.
I have two particular friends who have plenty of guns of all types, one said he had seventy, and each said they would give me one when they found out I didn’t have one. Neither ever followed through.
Another has an AK 47 she is trying to get off her hands but I am afraid I would end up in prison if I were stopped with it in the car while I was bringing it home.

"
DeMint has a mole in this communist administration." Demint really is just passing along what Rep. Robert Bishop of Utah exposed.

Rep. Robert Bishop, Utah Republican, made the memo public because he didn't want another unilateral land grab by the White House, like what happened under former Presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.

When we finally rid America of this plague called the Obama Administration. The Federal government should be forced to sell all public lands outside designated National Parks. What right does the Federal government have to own land? The States should control the land. Instead of waiting to get rid of Obama, states should start taking over the lands owned by the Federal government...and then they should start selling off much of that. What better way to balance state budgets than to sell land and put it into the hands of the American people, where it belongs?

We, here in the west have very little land left to turn over to the feds. But if they can take it all, they will.
