Jason Lewis, former drive time host of Charlottes WBT radio and current host on KTLK in Minneopolis when not filling in for Rush Limbaugh, will be in Charlotte on Friday, March 5, for a luncheon honoring SC-5 Congressional candidate Sen. Mick Mulvaney.
The lunch is scheduled for noon at the Greek Isles Restaurant at 200 East Bland Street, Charlotte. There is no charge to attend, though a $15 lunch will be served.
Mulvaney currently occupies the 16th district Senate seat in South Carolina and is running for Congress against Democrat Rep. John Spratt who has held the seat since 1983.
More information about Mick Mulvaney can be found here.
The 5th Congressional district of South Carolina has been increasingly growing in GOP population over the past decade, especially as former Charlotte Republicans relocate to the suburbs of Fort Mill and Indian Land. Given Spratts votes in favor of health care reform and cap and trade legislation, the time is certainly ripe for Republicans to have more than a fighting chance in this district.

The author doesn't seem to be aware, but Jason Lewis is nationally syndicated now (the reason he hasn't filled in for Rush in the past year) and is back on in Charlotte on 1660 WBCN, 6-9PM. I was in Columbia, SC yesterday and I could pick up the 1660 signal almost perfectly, so if you're anywhere near Charlotte, give it a try. (Lewis is also on the new Rush Radio stations in the Triangle and Triad)

I am a Cola resident and will give it a try. Being in the NE part of town might be a plus.

For those of you who don't know "Minnesota's Mr. Right," please give him a listen. We attended a Tea Party that he hosted about 16 years ago. Talk about being ahead of the curve! He is a brilliant economist and political pundant who makes you smarter just for listening.
One the downside, he is arguably the worlds worst comedian but "Beetle Bumper Fridays" make up for it.

Yep, he’s probably my favorite host at this point.

You can also catch Lewis on XM Satellite radio. Same channel that carries Glenn Beck. I believe it’s channel 165.
