(CNN) -- The widow of an Internal Revenue Service employee killed when a disgruntled taxpayer flew his plane into a seven-story building in Austin, Texas, last week is suing the pilot's wife, according to court documents.
Valerie Hunter, the wife of Vernon Hunter, is accusing Sheryl Stack, wife of Andrew Joseph "Joe" Stack III, of negligence, alleging she she knew or should have known that her husband was a threat to others and, thus, could have prevented the attack, according to the lawsuit filed Monday in Travis County District Court.

How do you extrapolate that?
You should learn to read and comprehend much better before you open your yap and spew stupidity.
Some states have laws which have life insurance pay off in the event of suicide, but only after the policy has been in effect for (In North Dakota) two years.
The problem with Stack's wife collecting on the life insurance policy is not one of suicide, but that Stack died in the commission of a criminal act, and that clause is in every life insurance policy I have seen, denying payment.
Deliberately flying a plane into a building and causing your own death and the deaths of others, is many negative, wrong things, not the least of which is crazy. But, cowardly it isn’t, not under any meaning of the word with which I’m familiar.
LOL, there are ways to profit from crimes. Use your imagination, others have used theirs to do so,
Amen.
From the tone of your posts.
Not one who sees the tragedy for what it is
If you lost the spouse you loved, how would you see the tragedy? You’d be pissed and wanting someone to pay. The coward is dead so she wants the coward’s family to pay. And you don’t know what kind of Christian this woman is.
Oh, Puh-leeze. Obviously, the guy was a nutcase and committed a horrible wrong, but how can you blame his widow?
LOL, mmm, you’re going to have to try a lot harder. :=)
Ha ha ...
Yeah, but you DID say insurance in Post 10. That's why I asked about it.
Yes, I find the rational of this lawsuit very challenging.
Oh, okay....so the guys who slammed into the World Trade Centers are brave?
ColdWater is a lawyer. You are wasting time debating a vulture.
Old myth.
Geez. There are some real sickos out on FR tonight.
Oh, really?
So, why would she not be seeking to profit if she, indeed, has gotten herself a sleazy lawyer to do exactly that by suing the Stack widow?
Please, do explain for us stupid and sick FReepers.
Have some freakin' mercy on our galactic ignorance and educate us.
Look in the mirror.
The family of the victim is already taken care of by life insurance; the family of the perp has nothing, and are also victims> Why do you want to punish the family? They, too, are suffering.
How in the he** can any court allow a suit like this to go through? Sue the wife for something her left wing nut job husband did? Not to mention, if I heard correctly, her and her child were in danger from the house fire that self same nut job set. People are fickin’ sue happy in this country.
