(CNN) -- The widow of an Internal Revenue Service employee killed when a disgruntled taxpayer flew his plane into a seven-story building in Austin, Texas, last week is suing the pilot's wife, according to court documents.
Valerie Hunter, the wife of Vernon Hunter, is accusing Sheryl Stack, wife of Andrew Joseph "Joe" Stack III, of negligence, alleging she she knew or should have known that her husband was a threat to others and, thus, could have prevented the attack, according to the lawsuit filed Monday in Travis County District Court.

Not at all. I’m against people profiting from killing someone by flying a plane at them.
No, are you?
[I heard the Commie pilots daughter has publicly called him a hero]
Early today I read on Drudge [I believe] that she did say that and then later gave a reverse reply in another interview.
I do believe that whatever "assets" the fool had are either IRS bound property or nothing at all.
What is your point? You want to hound the widow of Stack and his survivors until they possibly follow in dead daddy's path? Where is your mercy in this tragedy?
OK, let me explain to you. The person who flew the plane into the building and killed that poor man is dead. He will not profit in any way.
The guys I went to law school with who either spent most of their time drunk, or getting drunk are all now plaintiffs attorneys of divorce attorneys. Sadly, several of them now own their own planes. Our tort system is what is broken in this country, not our health care system.
It is NOT a frivolous lawsuit.
He’s too dead to profit. The wife did nothing wrong.
Look at this thread. More than a few on this thread think the “Commie pilot” is a hero for killing an IRS employee!
Reaching at wild assed conclusions suggests either you are drunk or stupid, so I guess you’re just stupid.
Sounds like an ambulance chaser got to her. Stack’s wife had NOTHING to do with her husband’s actions, and likely she won’t see a dime from any insurance policy he might have had, because as far as I know NONE pay in the event of a suicide.
I’m sorry the lady lost her husband to a nutcase, but filing suit against the killer’s wife is just wrong.
She’s lost not only her husband, but home as well.
I feel bad for both of these women. A lawsuit will help neither.
She should not profit either. No profit should be realized from the death of that scumbag Stack.
I don't think the grieved widow will be satisfied to here your "I do believe". What is your point? Do you want to deny the grieved widow the opportunity to gain monetary compensation and deny the pilots widow from benefiting monetarialy from his actions?
Blaming the wife? Yes, it’s frivolous.
Well, except for the lawyer....
The wife owes NOTHING to the widow of the man killed. If she somehow profits, then it still has no bearing on the case. Right now, she is homeless and in debt, since her husband killed himself and burned down the house.
A blood-sucking vampire lawyer is up to this and neither he nor the widow deserve a dime from the wife. She is not responsible for his crime in any way.
To advocate otherwise is sheer lunacy
The kid is in shock.
