You have to wonder where the adults are in the Democratic Party. Who will be the one that will tell little Barry that he can’t have his way? He will throw a tantrum so it will take someone who is not under his control. My guess is Bill Clinton will draw the short straw and make the trek to the Oval Office. The Clintons agree with the basic socialist agenda but they are also realists and know that they are very close to being voted out of power for a very long time.

I am doubtful about the selling across state lines. This would allow the Feds to utilize the interstate commerce clause to take over regulation of health care. This regulation belongs with the states. So I am skeptical until I see the specifics.
Companies can already sell across state lines. All they have to do is get an agent licensed in the states where they want to do business. You fill out some paperwork, pay the license fee, and it takes 2 or 3 weeks to process.
Run away? Why on earth should they do that? This is a great opportunity. Obama is showing weakness by calling for this meeting. He can't get Democrats to go along, he can't bribe or blackmail Republicans, public support has been dropping since he started this campaign and now he is forced to use the prestige of the office to get his message out.
The key is he can't use his popularity, he can't use his image to get what he wants. He's not popular and his image stinks. He's fallen back to the only thing he has....the office.
GOP goes in ...this is what is wrong...this is what the American people want...bam...bam...bam...the media has to report it. People agree with the GOP. The sale has been made.
If they run away, that will be the story. Obama tried to "reach out" and was rejected. The GOP is scared. Republicans don't want to talk. Republicans snubbed the office of the presidency.

I agree. All he’s ever been about is reparations. After carefully tending the garden of political correctness, Marxist academic thought, media and entertainment industry destruction of traditional American culture and the glorification of the sick black culture in this country, the ruination of public education and the destruction of the family unit, the left feels all the pieces are in place to make their move for “The Final Solution” to be successful.
Add that to no COLA raises for 2-3 years (in most cases the raises are not a lot about $25-50 a month less if Medicare premiums go up) in their SS and Military retirement and you put these Vets in a bad situation, especially if the bad economy continues to eat at their savings and investments like it has been.
My husband's Navy retirement check (he has IT taken out of it) since January was $10.80 lighter due to obambi's fiddling with the tax codes, combined with both our SS it doesn't even hit a 1/4th of that $250G cap he keeps yapping about.

I smell collusion in the mist. Lets see, the insurance companies know that by raising rates they will get beat up by the demons. They also know that they don’t want a public option and it won’t pass with one. So what happens, they anounce exorbitant rate increases only to get beat up, BO puts out his plan with no public option but a mandate that everyone has to buy insurance. He put in a phony rate regulation but the insurance companies don’t care because they just picked up 20-30 million paying customers most of them paid for by us smucks through our taxes on our policies and those on the dole of the gov’t.
