Syracuse Universitys announcement that it has taken the unusual step of hiring a pagan chaplain reflects a welcome open-mindedness to diversity and religious pluralism.
The colleges roots are in Methodism. But the appointment of Mary Hudson as the 11th chaplain at Hendricks Chapel shows the broadening of religious expression in America and one hopes, religious tolerance in the 80 years since the chapel opened its doors.

Well isn’t that special. By promoting “religious tolerance” what they are really saying is that all religions are equal. Well, they are not. Jesus Christ said “no man comes to the Father but by me”. All other world religions are impostors. As a matter of fact, Christianity is not a religion. Religion is the way man attempts to worship a god or gods. Christianity, originally called The Way (Book of Acts) is what God the Father of Jesus Christ did for the world through His Son. I really don’t care what Syracuse U. makes a chaplain. She can be an eskimo dwarf lesbian chaplain, if she doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ, she is dead in her sins, and will see no eternal life. Pagan? Pfft!
“What’s a pagan?”
“Well, it’s somebody who doesn’t believe there’s a divine being dispensing justice to mankind.”
“I’m a pagan too.”
FR is acting up big time. You wouldn’t believe the strange things that happened when I tried to post this thread.
There’s a mosque either on the campus or just near it, not sure which, but it is PACKED every Fri.
