CNN poll: 52% say Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012
By Michael O'Brien - 02/16/10 01:35 PM ET
52 percent of Americans said President Barack Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012, according to a new poll.
44 percent of all Americans said they would vote to reelect the president in two and a half years, less than the slight majority who said they would prefer to elect someone else.
Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.
The reelection numbers are slightly more sour than Obama's approval ratings, which are basically tied. 49 percent of people told CNN that they approve of the way Obama is handling his job, while 50 percent disapprove.
Still, the 2012 election is still a long way's away, with this fall's midterm elections looming large. Republicans are hoping to make inroads into Congress, while Democrats are hoping to hold onto gains won in the 2006 and 2008 cycles.
Respondents to CNN were split at 46 percent as to whether they preferred a generic Republican or Democratic candidate in this fall's elections.
At least one retiring lawmaker is confident Obama will sail to reelection, with Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) predicting Monday the president would win "overwhelmingly" in 2012.
The CNN poll, conducted Feb. 12-15, has a three percent margin of error.
They are racist reactionaries who vote for candidates simply because they are black.
Only a fool will listen to them or respect them, as they are fools of the most demented sort.
In a related story, 44% of Americans found to be drooling morons.
“Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.”
Right now, obambi is losing badly to nobody...we can only hope we can recruit somebody that will beat him even worse!
I knew the emporer had no clothes on, er, in this case, no suit pants...whew!
emporer = emperor
But from the devastating socialist euphoria, think how far we've come in 13 months.
“Gee, I wonder what they would have gotten had they polled some Conservative voters?”
LOL.
“Our media needs to be punished for at least a decade over their fawning, non-vetting coverage of this fraud who is currently occupying the Oval Office.”
I think the RAT press needs to be punished in an ultimate way - to never recover again. The new media is upon us...the old alphabet press of the 50s is DEAD.

—What the he!! does that have to do with this story??!

The RATS can’t let actual numbers speak for themselves.
As Beck would say, they think we’re ‘dumb, dumb, dummies!’ LOL - we’re now ridiculing them, and turning their stupid alinsky rules back on them, back on its head.
Since it’s CNN and it’s weighted to the Dems, the real numbers are likely worse for Obama. CNN is just applying to lipstick to the pig.
.........it’s 98% in my neighborhood. Obama is not fit to run the nearest KFC franchise. (thankfully no KFC nearby).
Juan is disgusting. Totally in the tank, no objectivity whatsoever. Sounds like a fool, defending the indefensible every time he speaks.
if CNN is showing that 52% would choose NOT to reelect BArr ZERO, just imagine what the REAL deal is........
He ain’t ‘nuffin but a 1 term worm.
LOL. Maybe they're not that Internet savvy.
I have always believed this Bradley/Wilder/Politically Correct factor has bumped up his so-called approval ratings by at least 10%. Poll respondents don’t want to be thought of as racist if they disapprove of a black president.
How else to account poll disparities that have this guy at around 52-55% approval scores but only 44% would vote to re-elect him ?
Not to mention the percent that voted for him and are in a state of shock and denial and can’t yet admit that they totally screwed up this nation by voting for him.
“I actually pity the students who support him”
I get your point but hard to pity idiocy.
For the rest of their lives this generation will be PAYING for their, to put it charitably, misguided vote.
The wages of Feel-Good voting:
taxes, green police, speech tribunals, death panels,
socialist science, class warfare, bankrupt nation . . .
But I feel good about myself. I’m making a difference.
Yup, you betcha.
The One is desperate to start clouding the issues by creating the impression that the Republicans are also responsible, hence his "health care summit" meeting with Republicans on Feb 25th. I hope the Republicans can somehow come out of that unscathed and with the clear message that they're not going to help him pretend there's anything bipartisan about his socialized medicine program.
Neither have I. Can't do it.
One wonders if those “brilliant” ,above-the-fray, independents are going to be in Democrat mode for the 2010
mid-term election. (Brilliance requires a vote for brilliant, Democrat saviours of mankind, dontcha know.)
