Sorry to be a wet blanket, but someone has to do it.
The Miss Me Yet? billboard (inspired by Jonathan Maneys t-shirts) is cute. But lets not get carried away with nostalgia.
President Bush put America on the proper war footing after 9/11 and deserves much credit for doing so, but he also:
1) joined with open-borders progressives McCain and Kennedy to try to force shamnesty down our throats;
2) massively expanded the federal role in education;
3) championed the Medicare prescription drug entitlement using phony math;
4) kowtowed to the jihadi-enabling Saudis;
5) stocked DHS with incompetents and cronies;
6) pushed Hillarycare for housing;
7) enabled turncoat Arlen Specter;
8. nominated crony Harriet Myers to the Supreme Court;
9) pre-socialized the economy for Obama by embracing TARP, the auto bailouts, the AIG bailout, and in his own words:
Ive abandoned free-market principles to save the free-market system. George W. Bush
No, I dont miss having a corporate socialist Republican in the White House any more than I like having a corporate socialist Democrat in the White House now.
As mad as I got at Bush for some of his bone-headed moves, I’d rather wake up knowing he was still in charge than the loser we’re now stuck with!
I don’t get what her point is in bringing this up now, any more than if she’d been writing “I don’t miss Bill Clinton” in 2001.
Why stay stuck in the past of what-if and shoulda-coulda-woulda?
None of the things she mentions are as heinous as what we are getting from Obama.
I think these words are apropos here, from the one speech that I find endlessly educational and inspiring:
"No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights; and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The questing before the House is one of awful moment to this country. For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery; and in proportion to the magnitude of the subject ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings..."

Verstehen Sie, meine Freunde??
On this issue, Malkin is a damn fool.
Because I've been around long enough to know that even bringing up the Viking Kitties on a tame thread like this is a stupid, childish threat.
Go ahead and drag out as many posts of mine as you'd like. They all say the same thing. George W. Bush is a man of character and integrity. He loves his wife and girls and is a good man, and everyone who knows him says that. He's a follower of Jesus Christ and has sought to do what God wanted him to do, asking the American people to pray for him. He courageously fought the war against terrorists, he was a fine, respected and loved Commander in Chief to his troops, and stood alone in supporting them in Iraq when the Republican wimps ran and hid. And he nominated stellar conservative federal judges and SC justices.
No "kneepad" stuff - but that's a revelation about how crass and debasing you are. Disgusting.
There is not one post in all my years here defending anything that was not conservative. Not one. So waste your time looking if you will, but it will be in vain. I'm as conservative as anyone on this board. Just a better judge of character than some.......obviously than you, judging by the company you keep.
But congratulations that you've graduated. Maybe now you can learn some 'real life' stuff and find better "friends."
The rest are reasonable at some level, and at least not overtly dishonest.
These two are not "very nice persons."
Well, I hope you and they can work it out somehow so the animosity goes away (or at least diminishes). This is the best place I’ve ever encountered on the Net for Patriots to gather, and it needs to remain so. We’re all on the same side at the end of the day.
At any rate, I’ve got to run; going to make some lunch for the kids and their friends (tearing the hell outta my den at the moment) and then kick them all outside to play in the snow.
Take it easy, O.

Have fun with the kiddies. I pushed a little snow around with my shovel, but you'll be happy to know I didn't hurt anything. :)
Enjoy your lunch!
Some of which he endorsed over their conservative primary opponent. ALL if he had the chance.
Bush was every bit as conservative as Reagan.
I can’t accept that.
Don't laugh. Just hold your breath.
I slept a lot better with Bush in the WH that I ever will with the 0
True.
But then Obama is SOOOO far outside the run of Presidents - even liberal Democrat Predecessors - in the level of mischief he is doing and the danger of his philosophies to freedom, free enterprise and western civilization, that that analogy really doesn’t say much.
Does anyone else see a large, ugly bulldog face in your photo?
No animals in the photo — just the truck.
My husband’s plow (covered with snow) is attached to the front of the truck.
(Just kidding. I'm trying to avoid doing work and wasting time on my snow day. ;*)
I’ll try that.
Shadows and lighting can do things, can’t they?
What's the total you've gotten from both storms?
“Absolutely not and as evidence I offer my posts here at Free republic never once linking to moronic 9/11 truthers to prove a specious point.”
I just linked to a reuters article that came up first when I searched.
“But I must admit I am enjoying exposing you for the trolltard you are.”
I’m not the one defending LBJ II, sparky.
We have had 65” so far this winter.
I’m east of Cleveland.
This is mostly lake effect snow.
That is why I left Cleveland a decade ago.
