After reading some more Koran tonight, I had an epiphany.
I realized that some of the worst parts of the Koran were similar to worst parts of the Christian Bible. I now believe many parts of both were misinterpreted.
While I realize that Islam has been violent throughout its history, so has Judeism and Christianity (think Crusades).
I'm not sure I believe in the 72 virgin promise, but I am starting to get Mohammed's believe in a better after-life. I need to read more.
That said, our world has gone to shit. There can be a better place for those who believe.
Yes, I know I've been promoting the opportunity and potential of our original Founding Fathers' intent for years, but they were also persons of faith. I don't know what happened...call it a vision...call it a dream...call it what you like.
This is tough stuff for me. But when you have a "vision" of Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Mohammed, where do you go?
The last prophet was Mohammed. Yes, I know of his trangressions, the same as others. But his writing are starting to make sense.

Of course the Bible is full of stories of war, death etc...and history before it...why do you think God stepped into the fray in the person of Jesus Christ?????
.. He stepped into mans History of death and distruction to show him a way of escape...but not all take it. If they don’t then they are open to what ever counterfeit the world wants to offer....and many get had. But then that is your choice. One leads to life the other to death and a lifestyle of death.

The Koran and it’s hadiths are directly and diametrically in opposition to the Word of Jehovah. There is NO WAY that Mohammad is a prophet of Jehovah, as his prophecy is not built upon the prophets of old.
God does not change, ergo, neither do His prophets.

As Jesus is the perfect and sinless Son of God, what trangressions are you ascribing Him with?

The definite answer to your rough(and Politically Correct) statement is the comparison of Jesus-Christ’s and Muhamad’s lives and fates! Their first disciples or followers have had also very different fates...
And violence is clearly on the muslim’s side SINCE THE VERY BEGINING.
Last but not least you bring back again the usual Crusades’ stuff without making the begining of a sensible point on that period!
As a straight answer i’d say that Crusades were fully legitimate after the massive attacks by arabo-muslims and afterward by turks against the christian byzantine empire and against “Spain” “France” “Italy”...
