A Virginia man who once spent eight years on the run from naval investigators was arrested in Somerset County early today with a trove of high-powered weapons, including a grenade-launcher and two assault rifles, along with maps of a U.S. military base and a civilian neighborhood, authorities said.
The federal governments Joint Terrorism Task Force quickly joined the investigation into Lloyd R. Woodson, 43, who had been staying at a Branchburg motel since last week. Woodson, whose last known address was in Reston, Va., was wearing a bullet-proof vest and carrying one of the assault rifles customized to shoot .50-caliber rounds when police arrested him after a chase and a scuffle in a local trailer park.

Philly is full of black muslins. Women there walk around in burkas. Seriously.
I’m in no way defending him but the head scarf may not be an indicator he’s muslim.
I own an olive-drab shemagh (middle eastern scarf) that I wrap around my neck when we’re shooting to keep the hot ejected brass from going down my shirt.
I got it at an army surplus store, I like it because it’s light, large, and I don’t care if it gets burned or wrecked.

LOL

Somerset County Prosecutor Wayne Forrest declined to speculate about Woodsons intentions but remarked on the suspects arsenal, which included hundreds of rounds of ammunition, some of them hollow-point bullets, and a night-vision scope.
military-style jacket
It's STILL okay for the law-abiding (not withstanding this apparent felon) to possess So-called Assault Rifles, ‘bullet-proof vests’, ammunition, a military-style jacket and night-vision scopes.
It should start to bother people that the bar on what's considered an Arsenal and what's over the line is getting lowered every day.
Granted, this guy sounds suspicious with some of the other paraphernalia he possessed, but a number of people own guns, ammo, and even OMG! Assault rifles.
The NSM is clearly biased against anyone with ‘Military style equipment.
Clearly the National Socialist Media considers anyone with more than 2 -3 guns to have an Arsenal and suspect People need to wake up to this troubling trend.
LMAO!!
It is only a matter of time.
Uncaught collaborator.
Janet Napolitano warned us to be on the lookout for former military men!
lol.
With good reason too...
After all, looked what happened to him. As for the mugshot, think about what you'd look like after getting pepper-sprayed, beaten, and cuffed.
Two rifles, a flare launcher, some 1st Gen mil-surp NVG's... They'd sh*t a brick looking in my closet alone much less my gun safe.
Need more info. Preferably something that hasn't been strained through a New Jersey anti-gun filter a few dozen times first.
Looks like these LEO’s saved some lives.
I hope this wasn’t near either of you.
The NJ branch of the National Socialist Media probably doesn’t realize that it’s perfectly legal to own a number of those items.
I think they may have found a real one. I’m shocked. Now the next question, those toys don’t come cheap, who was paying the bills.
“Virginia man had weapons cache, grenade launcher stashed in N.J. hotel room”
Does the 2nd amendment not apply in Virginia?
“The right to keep and bear arms was intended to include all military arms.”
That’s AWESOME! I bet my brothers’ neighbor Hassan would love a nuclear bomb and a few vials of bio weapons! And he can have them because the Constition is a suicide pact!
It does, but he was in New Jersey and normally you don’t have that kind of firepower in a hotel room. I have had more in one room, but it was a special event and was not in New Jersey.
Stop that. Pure and simple this is not terrorism. This guy did not have Bin Laden’s phone number on him, so he is in no way connected to terrorism.
If only *reporters* were as curious as you are....
He’s got the “look”.
