Looks to me like it’s “now or never” time for JD Hayworth to enter the race.

Why is he on the lag?

I feel the exact same way. She’s spent so much time being genuine and building her credibility to such great conservative heights. And now this.

Not good. At all.

Although I sympathize with her dilemma, this is not good ... and I mean for her. She should just stay quiet about this campaign. But I suspect he put the guilt on. The bottom line is HE NEEDS HER...not the other way around. I don’t know what is up with JD..but he needs to make a decision. I’m going to the State Meeting in Phoenix on Saturday. I’ll let you know what the buzz is.

“Those of you in AZ, take a look at McCain’s campaign literature and his newsletters over the last 6 months. He’s going farther and farther to the right. I’m waiting to see where he goes on immigration reform/amnesty before I pass judgment, but something tells me he’s going to be doing a 180 on this issue. He has seen the handwriting on the wall.”

Oh, good grief...how many times must we hear that. He claimed to ‘see the handwriting on the wall’ on immigration during the prez campaign, but as usual, has already forgotten. The senile old traitor fooled you all before, looks like he’s doing it again.

How many times are you all going to fall for this nonsense?

April 3, 2008

“I’ve listened and learned,” ran McCain’s Super Tuesday radio ads announcing he’d seen the light on immigration: “No one will be rewarded for illegal behavior.” Note the language. “Listening” is precisely the word the angriest professional conservatives use most when describing McCain’s attitude problem. “He promises to hear, not to listen,” Human Events editor Jed Babbin complained. “I am appalled by his contempt for the intelligence of his listeners,” Michael Reagan moaned in his column.

(DO not complain that this is from a liberal rag...his quotes and indignation of this issue are well documented!)

It was inevitable. If you read her book you will see that she has an enormous respect for the man. Obviously its not a move most people here like, but she is loyal. Remember the Beck interview, in which they talked about loyalty. She has become very distrustful of many pundits. If she has great respect for McCain, that probably means she trusts him. Besides, do you know if Hayworth has done anything to reach out to her? Is he still “thinking about it”? I know we all want conservatives elected, but we must step up to the plate.

Hayworth is up against a rich incumbent, and the RINO’s at the RNC. Does he have to fight Sarah and Fox News too?

I think it’s the right move.

I agree that she is probably doing it to show loyalty (which McCain does not deserve). I disagree that it is the right move.

She could show loyalty by not campaigning for any of his primary opponents.

I have learned not to believe anything a politician says to get re-elected. Judge him by his actions not by his words.

McCain is saying whatever he believes the Arizona Republican primary voters want to hear. If he gets the nomination, he will switch to saying whatever he believes the Arizona independent voters want to hear. If he gets re-elected, he will switch back to saying whatever he believes the MSM wants to hear.

I often ask myself, “What would Reagan do?” I get the feeling Sarah does too. I rarely recall Reagan, except when on the campaign trail and someone would be heckling him, or perhaps in his tailored responses to foreign dictators...get angry or ever lose his cool. He never was petty, when I think he could have been.

So far Sarah has been Christ like in her patience with the left and people like Letterman etc.

There’s no reason for her to alienate a major wing or the electorate.

Therefore, she can either NOT campaign, or come forth now..and say with conviction that she will when she’s been asked.

She’s doing the right thing.

Excuse me. SO you think it would be better for her to campaign for McCain’s opponent? Frist off, does he have any opponents? If not, what is she suppose to do, wait until he gets one?

A. There is a third option beyond campaign for JM or campaign for his opponent - just stay out of it.

B. If he doesn't have an opponent then he sure doesn't need anybody's help, does he?

She HAS to campaign for him. Does anyone honestly believe that supporting his opponent is a viable option?!

For whom did she campaign in Massachussetts? It wasn't Brown so I guess it had to be Coakley. How did I miss that?

Funny, I don’t recall Brown choosing her as his running mate for VP.
How did I miss that?

The presence of Palin - and the considerable crowds and media attention she will draw - might give pause to J.D. Hayworth, the former Republican congressman and radio host who opposes McCain's position on illegal immigration and is mulling a Senate run of his own...

Maybe not...most of us understand that Palin is doing what she feels she should, repayment of a political favor.

JD would be the candidate Palin would support, if he weren't running against McCain.

Politicians returning political favors that go against core principle is how we got here.

Sarah Palin seriously needs to reconsider this.

How about the democrat? Secondly, maybe you give mccain a chance to redeem himself.

Either way, I don’t see how this hurts her.
