Gov. Paterson was spotted nuzzling, neck-kissing and cooing like a smitten schoolboy with a pretty young woman -- not his wife -- in a New Jersey steakhouse yesterday afternoon, The Post has learned.
"I saw him kissing her neck," said Sharon Farrell, a lawyer sitting two tables away from Paterson and his mystery gal pal at the River Palm Terrace in Edgewater. "He was right on her neck, nudging, like back and forth."
Paterson's spokeswoman later said the governor's dining partner was just a friend, and that he never got romantic with her.
The governor himself told The Post that the woman "works with me."
But Farrell said, "No way it was a business meeting . . . It was very intimate."

Did they say why he was dining in NJ. They don’t have restaurants in NY?

Cut the guy some slack, he’s legally blind for crying out loud. He surely wouldn’t have seen the “Entering New Jersey” signs and I’ll bet the lady in question “felt” like his wife.

The River Palm Terrace is a semi-swanky restaurant that is just minutes across the river from NYC. (I was there once for a corporate dinner for a previous job.) IIRC, it's actually a pain-in-the-neck to get to, as it is situated amongst a bunch of hilly and narrow streets near the Hudson River.
He probably wanted some place that met his "standards" but was conveniently close -- and also conveniently out of the eye of NYC photographers.

I noticed they threw the phrase “pretty young woman” in there. How would Patterson know if she was pretty or not? This is an obvious hit piece. I will take it with a grain of salt, if not a pound. He has been straying off the demwit plantation lately and I think they are trying to bring him down with a scandal.
