Maybe the Globe reporter misheard him. Sen, Brown was at the Tea Party in Worcester in April! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHFkuui3pTA&feature=player_embedded

Does anyone else have any news article that also state that Se. Brown actually said this?

Perhaps he was being snide, as in, trying to ward off the “teabagger” reference.

Hmmmm Boston Globe, I smell a planted story here. I'd like to see the video, if there isn't one then I'd have to go with desperation in the Coakley camp.

Scott Brown is no conservative. He’s a liberal Republican.

Another Rockefeller Republican, a la Giuliani, Romney, Schwarzenegger, Whitman, etc etc etc....

Good move by Scott. The desperate Boston liberal media obviously wants to get him to play whatever game it is they’re playing, and he’s too smart to fall for it.

oh please this is the Globe who has just endorsed the lying woman.

they also said the reporter slipped instead of being attacked so we know how the Globe likes to report

expect more of this on their sites, in their media and even on here with some trolls now coming on here I bet

we’re already won this as they are fighting to keep a seat in a big blue state and which Kennedy had for years.

that is a win for us already
if you’re a Dem elsewhere in the country then they should be afraid and leave obama on his own with his agenda their time is coming

One of the very few of 68 “Reader Comments” that I find positive for Coakley is somebody harrumphing that she will win because of voter fraud.

Being “unfamiliar” is different than knowing nothing.

I suspect he actually knows a little about the Tea Party movement, but maybe not enough to make an informed statement.
I doubt the regional news media really had had much coverage of the Tea Party movement in his state, so he actually may not know much except it was a citizens rally (if he actually attended one).

We have millions of people who watch MSM news but are still completely clueless. But Brown appears to understand the right things to take to DC.

I have no illusions that Scott Brown is a Sarah Palin.

Scott Brown is the lesser of two evils.

Martha Coakley would ensure the passage of Obamacare.

That's why I sent my $35 to Scott.

He’s staying on message. And running a great campaign.

Just like McDonnell in VA: Jobs, jobs, economy, healthcare, jobs - all based on a conservative approach.

He didn’t agree with the “reporter’s” assertion that the Tea Party movement is “taking over the Republican Party.”

Which incidentally does not contain the non-words "didn'y" and "abot".

QUESTION: “Scott, what do you think about the Tea Party movement and what they are trying to do?”

SCOTT BROWN: “I am not quite sure what you are talking about, what are they trying to do?”

QUESTION: “The anti-smaller government, sort of anti-establishment organization that is trying to take over the country.”

SCOTT BROWN: “Taking over the country. I think that is a little bit of an exaggeration.”

QUESTION: “Well, they are all over the place and they are trying to take down moderate Republicans. . .”

SCOTT BROWN: “All I know is that. . . “

QUESTION: “Are you completely unaware of that organization?”

SCOTT BROWN: “I’m not quite sure what you are referring to. But let me just say that this is a big tent campaign. I have people who are Democrats, I have people who are Independents, Republicans, young, old, liberal, conservative, moderate involved in this campaign because people are looking past the letter behind my name and they are looking at my 30 years of military service. They are looking at the fact that I have been a municipal and legislative leader with over 6000 votes, and more importantly they are looking at the stark differences between Martha and me on health care on cap and trade, on the expiring tax cuts, on the war tax, on how we treat people who are trying to kill us, on the fact that Afghanistan has a very real and vital national interest. They’re looking at those issues, and I welcome everybody’s support, because, literally, it’s me against the machine.”

This is a weak attempt at the Boston Globe to try to insert dissent in Brown’s campaign. Heck, the BG has been pretending that they dont know what Tea Partiers are either as one can detect a total lack of reporting on the movement.

OK, first, what is the source? The Globe, and who do they want in? Slam dunk. Is he a Rino? I don’t know, but politicians do change direction like the wind. Boston Politics is a close rival of Chicago’s. No one ever admitted to me to have voted for Kennedy in the past but he still kept winning.

NO but we have video of him saying that obamacare will CUT the Military's Tricare health ins.

Even if every GOP congress critter stayed home they still have the votes to pass obamadeathcare!

I called Senators Bob Corker and Lamar Alexander this morning and told the girls that if, Scot Brown debatee

Scot Brown dems want to cut Military Tricare could talk about the cuts to the Military's health ins. Tricare then they could too. That we seniors on Medicare use the retired Military's Tricare for Life as our secondary health ins. With cuts and increases in fees to both Medicare and Tricare we are double screwed. Why weren't the GOP front and center telling the seniors about these cuts...I talk to many in the public and they DON'T know about these cuts. Couple that with NO COLA raises for either seniors and retired Military, we will be hit hard.
