A former chief United Nations weapons inspector is accused of contacting what he thought was a 15-year-old girl in an Internet chat room, engaging in a sexual conversation and showing himself masturbating on a Web camera. Scott Ritter of Delmar, N.Y., who served as chief U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991-98 and who was an outspoken critic of the second Bush administration in the run-up to the war in Iraq, is accused of contacting what turned out to be a Barrett Township police officer posing undercover as a teen girl.

And you gotta wonder who. You gotta wonder if the strings that are being pulled on these clowns aren't attached to different puppetmasters all over the world. Frankly I won't be happy until I see many, many of these folks doing the perp walk. Remember how happy the perp watch used to make us? We haven't seen a good one in years.
Third time! Unreal. Some of these online stings are creepy and I do not trust what could happen. Anyone touches a kid is a different story and if Soctt has been stung 3 times then he did not learn his lesson the first time. The guy has a problem.

In June of 2001, Ritter was accused of engaging in a sexual discussion, on the Internet with a person who he thought, was a 14 year old girl. It was actually an undercover investigator who agreed to meet with Ritter. When Ritter arrived at the location, expecting to meet the girl, police warned him that he had been set up.
Three months later Ritter allegedly fell into the same trap, only this time he was arrested.
