...I am afraid Sarah Palin is going to harm herself unintentionally over this tea party convention in Nashville...
Let me be blunt: charging people $500.00 plus the costs of travel and lodging to go to a National Tea Party Convention run by a for profit group no one has ever heard of sounds as credible as an email from Nigeria promising me a million bucks if I fork over my bank account number...

See my post #37.
I’ll see ya in D. C. on the 15th, FRiend.
I think they’re one and the same.
Oh, we seniors heard the same crapola about Ronald Reagan; that he wasn’t electable.
Is there a reason you only posted a snip from this blog? Why not post the entire article so people can get the entire flavor what was written if they so choose without having to click through?
Why yes, yes I can. Let me be blunt: charging people $500.00 plus the costs of travel
Actually, a lot of those types of actors/actresses will go to a convention for no fee but they will rake in the money on autographs, photos and memorabilia they bring along.
Given the ferocity with which establishment GOP types keep dumping on her, who can blame her? I’m afraid if the GOP leadership decides to go the moderate route for one more election cycle, they will be putting themselves out of business.
My concerns regarding Palin's involvement have mostly gone away with the news that she has signed a deal with Fox. And I'm assuming she worked that into her calcualtion, making this a better decision for her than I had thought it might prove to be when I all but blasted her for it a couple days ago.
For all intents and purposes, she's now a media figure and she can pop in and out of these things as she pleases. And she's entitled to whatever fees she gets via the Washington Speakers Bureau. The influence factors behind politicians versus media figures are different things. Palin can continue to be a big cheerleader for the TP movement, but she's also something of an observer, perhaps even more so than a direct actor, now. If the organizers of the Nashville event go bust, that's their problem. And that explains the distance that was kept in the only characterization of her involvement I have been able to obtain through channels. I posted it on the 7th. She's keeping her distance and a hands-off approach, as appropriate for a media figure, which she now basically is.
To the GOP, Be afraid, be very afraid.
Yeah, they can’t have those uppity conservatives messing up their gig as keepen hand maidens to the DNC.
“I smell concern trolls.”

(snicker)
And fear.
I smell fear.
Panicky fear of the galvanizing power over the long silent, quiescent majority, that Sarah Palin represents.
Unfortunately, no.
:o)
> She can be a spokeswoman and advocate for conservative causes but she is not electable to the WH.
>> You will need to get off the drugs.
Sadly, I agree: Sarah Palin has alot of appeal but I don’t see her being able to overcome the “giggle factor”. Without a doubt she is a qualified candidate, and beyond dispute she is better than Obama in every measurable way.
However, I don’t think people will take her seriously.
The Moose-shootin’-Beauty-Pageant-Hockey-Mom-Pitbull-with-lipstick thing is TOO MUCH. The mind boggles.
(Granted, it’s true that the Kenya-born-Indonesian-raised-muslim-socialist-dope-smokin’-Chicago-Outfit-inexperienced-friend-of-domestic-terrorist-buddy thing also boggles the mind.)
Can’t you Yanks find “ordinary” people to run for POTUS? Someone like “Joe the Plumber”?
That’s right, if a person doesn’t share your opinion, they must be on drugs! Good one!
RedState and a couple of other people get their shorts in a wad over the fact that there is a fee to use a hotel. Come on where do these people live? A state garden association charges 250.00 to hear speakers, what’s the big deal?
When she takes the reins, she's going to overturn their shell game and throw them out of the temple as she whips their useless asses bloody.
Sarah dislikes the "boil the frog slowly" GOP more than she dislikes the Dem filth. At least the Dem filth don't pretend to care about the Constitution. When Palin wins the White House in '12 it'll be the end of the charade for the RINO's.
That should be the RINO's new theme song to Sarah:
"Don't Rain On My Charade!"
;-/
She's good, but she's no Reagan...yet
