AMSTERDAM, Netherlands – Miep Gies, the office secretary who defied the Nazi occupiers to hide Anne Frank and her family for two years and saved the teenager's diary not, has died, the Anne Frank Museum said Tuesday. She was 100.

Gies was the last of the few non-Jews who supplied food, books and good cheer to the secret annex behind the canal warehouse where Anne, her parents, sister and four other Jews hid for 25 months during World War II.
After the apartment was raided by the German police, Gies gathered up Anne's scattered notebooks and papers and locked them in a drawer for her return after the war. The diary, which Anne Frank was given on her 13th birthday, chronicles her life in hiding from June 12, 1942 until August 1, 1944.

I looked at many Anne Frank videos, and there is a lot of hate there.

I have her book. She was a special lady.
May God always hold her dear.
Miep Gies was a woman of inspiration.
Hers was a life to celebrate, not mourn.
Honored by people around the world, she was forever modest. She did her part to counter evil.

I’m sure Anne and her family were thrilled to have her join them in God’s Holy Presence, because I have no doubt they’re there.
I was in Amsterdam a couple of decades ago. We had visited the Rijksmuseum and then had only a small amount of time left in the day. I suggested we go to the Anne Frank House. It was one of the most emotional Museum visits I have ever experienced. This woman was a hero. Prayers up for her soul which I know resides in heaven.
she is an inspiring person. i have not read her book but will do so.
why didn’t the nazis arrest her for aiding the franks

A true hero.
I have a copy of her book somewhere that I enjoyed so much. After reading the Diary of Anne Frank this book gave more information. I have read several books about the Frank tragedy, which is a very interesting story. It is very sobering that the Nazi’s could be so cruel.
