Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.
The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the networks programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called War Stories.
Many suspected that when Ms. Palin retired as the governor of Alaska last summer she was doing so to pursue some sort of career in television. The Fox News deal, however, would not seem to be all encompassing, and would appear to give her room for other pursuits, as well.

- get paid for airtime with the public,
- be on the most highly rated cable news network
- refute her "Caribou Barbie" critics with intellectually deep, strong, and Conservative commentary,
- let the Left dig their "I hate Sarah" hole deeper,
- leave the "educated class" phony conservatives like David Brooks and Peggy Noonan with egg on their face,
- leave the DC RINOs with nowehere to hide, even on FNC,
- galvanize her base,
- look incredible, especially when split screened with Ann Coulter, Monica Crowley, Laura Ingraham, Megan Kelly, etc.
All true, but she lets her law degree interfere with common sense all too often.
Thanks Onyx. I wouldn’t disagree.
I don’t want to see her abused as part of this process, so I hope you’re right, and have reason to believe you are. I do want to see the real Sarah emerge further. That’s not to imply she’s been craftily holding back her real self either.
Thanks for the ping. This is some really good news.
Hey, does this mean Sarah gets a press pass now. Can you imagine Sarah Palin at a White House briefing. If you think Obama got all wee weed up by Sarah’s facebook posts, imagine having to look her straight in the eye when she asks him a question, such as “President Obama, you promised EIGHT Times on the campaign trail you would have C-Span cover the health care debate, yet now you refuse to let them in to view it, what gives, are you admitting you are nothing more then a big fat liar”
It’s the only way to watch TV. Be sure and get a HD DVR, we have four LCD TV screens, two have DVRs, my wife and I like different things on TV...She likes the Home and Gardens stuff and I like motor sports.
We both like FNC and FBN and Rush Limbaugh on radio, who I’m listening to right now. If you are a Rush 24/7 Member you can watch and hear and watch him broadcast in HD Dittocam in Flash.
I don't believe the Iron Lady was popularly elected. The PM is the leader of the majority party.
You can bet her ratings will outdo those of BOR, and Beck combined.
I have Time Warner Cable, will be getting an HD DVR..we already have the Fox Business Channel(Which I had no idea we had til I was playing around with the digital cable box and saw it) and we also have fox News in HD so this is gonna be GREAT. I have a rain check at Frys for the Samsung LCD LN40B630 for 699, its on sale but unfortunately they ran out or else I would have gotten it yesterday(I guess word travels fast LOL) once I Get it, will call Time Warner to get a box put in my room so I can see this in HD
I think this probably means that SP is out of the running for ‘12. However, she probably has until about Memorial Day 2011 to jump in. If 0bama reacts like Slick Willie to a (hopefully) GOP majority in one or both houses, she’ll stay out. If he runs off and sulks, she probably in.
The “multi-year” term of the contract could be to just provide cover and allow her to keep her options open.
I have never seen that. I see her (MK) with that moron BoR on his show and the contrast is like day and night. He has his own constitution and rules of physics too. She explains the law and exactly what will happen rationally.
Hope she’s not replacing Bob Beckel, I’ll miss him.

and...........
“I suppose the world has to be in black and white for you ,no grey area eh”

I agree with you — this is great for Sarah and it’s not like it’s her own show — she will be a contributor — love it~! Gives her more face-time and opportunity to hone her skills. The left is freaking out. Good!
...and yes, in the beginning I did watch his show several times and my disdain grew so toward him, that I now turn him instantly!
You really think Obama will leave office with just his pension? He will be fabulously wealthy, The Clinton's never had a job in their life, (well Hillary actually had a hobby of over billing clients at Rose, and did make a million in futures) yet they are multi millionaires. Nixon on the other hand left office broke, until a benefactor paid him a million dollars for a book, or something.
BTW, a notice on the article itself. It says she “retired” from being governor; it didn’t use “quit”.
Roger Ailes loves ratings, and ratings he’ll get, but he and Rush are two of her biggest supporters and Fox News has always been open to her. Her best interviews have been on FNC, I am citing the Greta’s most recent. It was detailed with no holds barred.
I’ll wager Mike Huckabee is awfully jealous and concerned right about now. I know he’s using his FNC show as a springboard for 2012, but that’s a whole other matter.
The timing couldn’t be better... right on the heels of the 15 Minute hit piece farmed out to Anderson Cooper.
Now you are talking!!
Let me know how much you like it.
What would Ms. Thacher do?
I don’t believe the Iron Lady was popularly elected. The PM is the leader of the majority party.

I also think Maggie Thatcher would provide full support and respect for Sarah Palin. Also, isn’t Maggie Thatcher a grocer’s daughter? I think this is so.
