Former Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska has signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel.
The network confirmed that Ms. Palin will appear on the networks programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ms. Palin will not have her own regular program, one person familiar with the deal said, though she will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time. This person would not elaborate, but the network does have a precedent for such a series. Oliver L. North is the host of an occasionally running documentary series on the military called War Stories.
Many suspected that when Ms. Palin retired as the governor of Alaska last summer she was doing so to pursue some sort of career in television. The Fox News deal, however, would not seem to be all encompassing, and would appear to give her room for other pursuits, as well.

PA Mom is right. Huckabee’s show is worth watching. “Gentle prodding” is a good way to put it, but he often has some very interesting and thought provoking guests. Last night was great with the form head of securiiity of El Al Airlines on. I’ve seen this man on other channels, but he explaind in detail last night the differences between Israili security measures and ours, and where we have gone wrong. Good show. He intersperses the good stuff with lighter fare. The rest of the show was devoted to Elvis, and I fell asleep.
The one I ALWAYS turn off, besides Shep, is Red Eye.
I think Fox already has that covered with Judge Andrew Napolitano.
You betcha. ;)
RE :”Now she has maybe a 1 million per year, multi year contract with Fox”
Sorry, at FNC my heart is taken by Megn Kelly (beautiful plus brilliant plus articulate). The Carabou goddess doesnt ring any bells here.
Do we know how many books she sold to date?
Sometimes I wonder if some FReepers actually read the whole article, this is short of a full show, but puts herself on TV regularly with specials and on air commentary, multi-year is optional folks
I’ll take Megyn Kelly for $100,000,000.00 Alex ;-)
Discovery Channel in HD, hockey in HD, and now Sarah Palin in HD. What more could a guy want?
Happy Dance here to PAMOM!!!
Awwwwwwwwwww,,pooooooor libs.
OK I am sold on the possibilities now. Great ideas you have there!

The Robot: The Robot is a Model B-9, Class M-3 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot, which had no given name. Although a machine endowed with superhuman strength and futuristic weaponry, he often displayed human characteristics such as laughter, sadness, and mockery as well as singing and playing the guitar. The Robot was performed by Bob May in a prop costume built by Bob Stewart. The voice was dubbed by Dick Tufeld, who was also the series’ narrator. The Robot was designed by Robert Kinoshita, whose other cybernetic claim to fame is as the designer of Forbidden Planet’s Robby the Robot. Robby appears in LIS #20 “War of the Robots”, and the first episode of season three; “Condemmed of space”.
Having said that, I don’t recall him being called anything other than Robbie. The Forbidden Planet is a classic, I first saw it in 1956.
I don’t think there’s anything more to say than what you just posted. It covers my thoughts on the matter very well.
I like Huckabee as a person. I don’t like him as a candidate.
On the matter of risk, if Sarah is the person we hope her to be, then there is no risk. The real issue is, do we wish to see her as she really is? If we’re honest with ourselves, we’ll have to say yes. That is important. We must be open to seeing her for what she really is, good or bad.
My hope is that it turns out to be really good, not just okay, bad, or really bad.
This is a put up or shut up moment isn’t it.
This is great news! It will allow her to hone her skills on TV. I can just envision her being as smooth as Ronald Reagen was.
She will reach more on Fox with her brilliant commentary and deft turn of a phrase than with Facebook. And she has ‘moved mountains’ (legislatively) just from her Facebook page.
Be afraid liberals, be VERY afraid!

Do you full blown Libertarians really think you will get a better fit with a Mormon, than an Evangelical Christian?
Goldwater was too Socially Un conservative to be elected, as it turned out.
