PALM CITY, Fla., Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- A national effort to add ten specific amendments to the Constitution of the United States was launched this week when the nation's 7,300 state legislators received the book "10 Amendments for Freedom" along with information on how to convene a Constitutional Convention.
The effort is being spearheaded by 10 Amendments for Freedom, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, to provide permanent restraints upon the federal government.
"The initial goal is to have the state legislatures vote to have Congress convene a Constitutional Convention to propose ten specific amendments be added to the Constitution," stated William H. Fruth, Founder and National Director. "After the amendments are proposed by the convention, they will need to be ratified by three-fourths of the states."
The proposed Constitutional amendments include the following topics:
"The Constitutional Convention will be the most important political event held in 200 years," Fruth continued. "It will reaffirm the belief the American people have in individual liberty and freedom and that government is created to serve the people, not control their lives."

The last thing in the world we want is a Constitutional Convention. The left has all the organization and manpower and will be able to Constitutionalize the very things we are trying to prevent.
Is this the right time to try to have a Constitutional Convention?
Nice idea, but it’ll never happen.
11. Only people actually paying taxes shall have the right to vote.
12. No one receiving money from any government entity shall have a vote, except, members of the military.
Open up that can of worms and watch the socialists wipe out the entire Bill Of Rights! Do these people think they can limit and control a concon?
Silly, and dangerous. Silly because most of the ten proposals are vague in the extreme. Dangerous because when the door to the Constitution is open every special interest serving “public servant” in Congress will screw it up.
A majority of the people in this country voted for Obama...why would we trust them to come up with a Constitution that promotes Freedom?
In the highly unlikely event that a Constitutional Convention results in a document that declares all of the amendments listed...why would we expect the government to follow it if they don't follow the Constitution that we have in place now?
I covered a worst-case "what if" con-con in my third novel. We wind up with the "Freedom From Gun Violence Amendment," and the "Economic Justice Amendment" among other socialist nightmares. Half of the country rejects the validity of the "New Constitution," and CW2 is ignited.
The "Foreign Enemies And Traitors" excerpt covers the bogus con-con.
Amen. BIG mistake.
Not on a bet.
Exactly.
Not a good idea A-TALL!!!
Wards of the State forfeit their right to vote, due to an inherent conflict of interest detrimental to the interests of The People at large. This would include those who are imprisoned, on public assistance, etcetera.
I’m afraid a wise Latina Supreme Court Justicette will find these admendments to be Unconstituitional.
More seriously, this new bill of Right would have to be passed by congress and endorsed by 3/4 of the state legislatures within seven years. Basically, it would be the death knell of the Democratic Party as we know it. They will fight it hammer and tongs, with full support of the LSM. It sounds like an uphill fight.
You also need a constitutional amendment to outlaw Social Security and all its virulent spawn (Medicare, Medicaide, SSI, et) and any thing redolent of public charity or welfare legislation.
Bad idea.
