HONOLULU -- Rush Limbaugh said yesterday that tests found nothing wrong with his heart after chest pains hospitalized him earlier this week.

The conservative radio star said at a Honolulu news conference that he was being released from The Queen's Medical Center, where he was rushed Wednesday during a vacation.

Doctors said he did not have a heart attack or heart disease.

"The pain was real, and they don't know what caused it," Limbaugh said.

Asked whether he was taking painkillers, he said no. His medical problems have attracted attention in the past.

In 2003, he acknowledged an addiction to painkillers for severe back pain and took a five-week leave from his radio show to enter rehab.

Good news yes, but Rush should not get to complacent. Just because they dont find anything does not mean that nothing is wrong.

It is good news and I am very relieved.

Something did cause that pain. I hope he continues to pursue it.

I think he'll certainly get a lot advice from his physician ditto heads.

Happy New Year!

Re: Just because they dont find anything does not mean that nothing is wrong.

Yes! A few years ago I had a similar pain in my chest. Just knew I was going to die, yet after numerous tests, the docs said most likely I had a muscle spasm due to some meds I was taking.

I still wish they just knew for sure...

BTW does your FR ID have anything to do with these:

Could have been some kind of spasm..I am sure those good docs are on top of the various causes of non-cardiac chest pain and will try to get to the bottom of it. In any case, we are relieved and feel blessed that Rush is O.K. He is a part of us and we are a part of him..

“Something did cause that pain. I hope he continues to pursue it”.

...a very good friend of mine who happens to be an internist told me a long time ago that unexplained pains happen with no cause. It’s repeated or continuous pain that you have to watch.

Concerning repeated and continuous pain makes sense. Yet, I am not comfortable with “unexplained pains happen with no cause.” That doesn’t make sense to me. Wouldn’t it be better to add the word “apparent” before the word “cause”?

I’m not trying to be difficult. It just doesn’t make sense to me. Although, I would agree that if medicine can’t find a cause, just shrug it off. I just don’t think we know everything about medicine yet and to dismiss something as “no cause” seems simplistic.

Sometimes things happen for a reason.
Maybe God wanted Rush in a hospital for a good reason.
Look how his fans prayed, showed Rush that he is needed and loved.
Maybe God had enough of the usurper and wanted us to focus on someone positive.
Maybe God wanted to show His people that we are not powerless, we can overcome anything negative thrown our way, when we turn to Him. New Year's eve was quite a downer, yet on New Years day we received extremely good news. I consider it God's blessing.

Rush has been taking care of himself. He will continue to do so. He himself told us to stay healthy because we don't have time to be sick (I'm paraphrazing). Rush is not a hypocrite.
Now, Rush is smart. He used his experience to promote US healthcare which would die under the usurper. Some people need to hear this. Doctors and future patients.

I believe God wanted Rush in a hospital. For a very good reason.

God bless us all.
Now let's go fight the good fight.
Onward Christian soldiers....

“He used his experience to promote US healthcare which would die under the usurper”.

...I also believe that God sent him. Rush is the voice of conservatism and this afforded us the opportunity to reach millions that otherwise would never have heard his message. Rush fan or Rush hater, he reached a lot of people with his press conference.

This is great news and the fact that it will further demoralize and depress the psychotic liberal nutjobs is a great way to start thje years. I’m no doctor, but if I had to guess, the herniation in his cervical spine area could be part of the problem for the pain Rush experienced; it can manifest itself in a variety of ways, none of them good.

Being sick may be detrimental to your helth under ObamaCare, regardless if you have the time or not.

It was just a diversion so Rush could get into the hospital to find THE birth certificate.

RUSH, YOU MAGNIFICANT BASTARD!!!
