American-led troops were accused yesterday of dragging innocent children from their beds and shooting them during a night raid that left ten people dead.
Afghan government investigators said that eight schoolchildren were killed, all but one of them from the same family. Locals said that some victims were handcuffed before being killed.
Western military sources said that the dead were all part of an Afghan terrorist cell responsible for manufacturing improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which have claimed the lives of countless soldiers and civilians.

No no no you’ve got it all wrong. It was a wedding being held in a baby milk factory. Baby milk for kittens and puppies. The puppies were stomped and the kittens thrown into blenders.

This isn’t the American style. More likely they would end up in some huge orphanage.

Also, I wonder if “schoolchildren” is by US standards where it is customary for young men and women in their late teens to be in senior high (or high, depending on local nomenclature). By that point they might well be serving in US forces.

They were handcuffed and why waste perfectly good Ammo.
My bet is they crossed the local tribal leader and he wanted them eliminated. This staged event and the story would draw attention away from the warlord. The crime of educating little girls warrants the death penalty from many mussies.

You mean that we’re finally starting to play by their rules.
If so, this war will end very soon.

These stories ALMOST always turn out to be complete bullshit and I can list a bunch of examples.
i.e.
The Iraq wedding attack story. Turns out those were actually bad guys.
The Iraq Apache 30mm engagement of 4 men in a field. Turns out they were trading arms and one guy in the unedited video can be seen trying to pull a MANPADS from a burlap bag before he's shot.
There have been several Pakistan predator missile attacks where locals make all sorts of claims and it turns out the ones making these claims are actually on the periphery, playing with the bad guys and just didn't happen to be squatting in the building when it was blown up.
And on and on and on..................
These stories usually surface because we give a high degree of credibility to incredible local sources, because make belief reporters and locals play up a concocted story and are themselves often involved in some bad stuff or simply looking for a scandalous story to sell........

My bet is they crossed the local tribal leader and he wanted them eliminated. American troops wouldn't consent to play along with this game. But impostors dressed as same might. That would be a good way to "fake out" an unsuspecting family.
