Of course, the Liberal take on this will be that if the US hadn’t been so mean to them while they were at Gitmo, they wouldn’t had to retaliate in the first place!

I believe that the bigger point here is that Obama and his yahoos on the left want to release all of them.

My post from another blame Bush thread ...

Bull cookies! The dems own this one. The terrorists father went to the American Embassy SIX MONTHS AGO (Hint: Obama was President) with information of his son’s Islamic radicalization. Incompetano should resign immediately.

You are absolutely right. They should have been interrogated on the spot and then given the right treatment and you know what that is. No need for Gitmo.

It was President Bush who said that there was an “Eternal Friendship” between the United States and Saudi Arabia.”

I don't mind if they close Gitmo. They just need to use up a couple hundred rounds of ammo first.

The fainthearts at DU are already blaming Bush.

Of course they are. The same idiots who were screaming for their release, closure of the prison and granting constitutional rights for the terrorist scum for the better part of eight years are suddenly hardliners. Who didn't see that coming?

Uh, Moe. Look at the timeline of attacks on the US from 1993-2001 (8+), 2001-2008 (zero after 9/11), and now 2 in 2009 after his term ended. Yeah, dude, Bush was a real failure.

I didn't ask about his nauseating overtures to the Kingdom (that he felt were necessary, I suppose). I asked about the terrorism that resulted from it.

It was a loaded question. There wasn't any.

Why would anyone be surprised about this story? There is a fairly long list now of former Gitmo residents who were later encountered on the battlefield, or are known to have resumed their terrorist ways in some capacity. The Bush administration released a couple of hundred or more over the years.

This story only reaffirms how stupid the release policy has been all along, and how much more stupid closing Gitmo is.
