A White House official said the incident was an attempted act of terrorism. The FBI is investigating and President Obama, celebrating Christmas in Hawaii, was told of the incident about three hours after the plane landed, officials said.
Obama has told White House officials that all appropriate measures be taken to increase security for air travel, a spokesman said. Nevertheless, officials said, they are not prepared to raise the terrorism alert level, currently at orange -- or the second-highest of five levels -- for domestic and international air travel.

It matters in that he appears he was unavailable after a terrorist. They weren’t able to contact him for 3 hours. If he would have been in the White House, he probably would have been notified sooner, maybe?
No biggie that he takes a vacation, but it appears that when O goes to HI, he gets to cut loose. Maybe the reason he didn’t go to Chicago was so he could party and not get harrassed by the journalists. Until that is that he wants his photo op. But think about it, if he wanted to get his party on, he would want to make sure no witnesses would leak his behavior. HI gives him cover to do whatever he wants. Basically putting up a do not disturb sign. Something is off with this story, especially with the cover-up.

From what I understand Bush’s people told him what happenened and specifically told him to stay put until things were sorted out and deemed safe.
I do not. The flight gate arrive time is around 7 AM in Hawaii time. The incident happened before 7 AM.
So let me get this straight:
1. Ft. Hood massacre by a man who shouts Allah Ackbar before shooting many people in cold blood is NOT a terrorist attack.
2. But today’s event IS a terrorist attack.
Going by the article that was posted on this thread it said it landed about 1 pm. Detroit is Easter time. That would be 12 pm Central time.
That would be about 8 am Honolulu time.
The article also said that Obama was notified between 9 and 930 am.
That was a gap of about 90 minutes.
All that was in the article posted with this thread. Take issue with the article, not me.
I don’t care what is in the article. I am looking at factual information from the AIRLINE. ARRIVAL AROUND 7 AM Hawaii time. 21 minutes late.
Btw,the military aide is claiming obama was told before the plane actually landed..around 9 to 9:30 in Hawaii time.

Maybe he didn’t try to go to the john to set it off because in order to maximize the effects of the blast the explosive would have had to be located over the aircraft’s fuel tank.
