A White House official said the incident was an attempted act of terrorism. The FBI is investigating and President Obama, celebrating Christmas in Hawaii, was told of the incident about three hours after the plane landed, officials said.

Obama has told White House officials that all appropriate measures be taken to increase security for air travel, a spokesman said. Nevertheless, officials said, they are not prepared to raise the terrorism alert level, currently at orange -- or the second-highest of five levels -- for domestic and international air travel.

I’ve found many cached copies of reports from Google that have the 3 hour delay in informing Obama report. I’ve said it.

Also, Twitter has it on their trackbacks.

I’ve also written a letter to the WaPo Ombudsman asking why that report was removed without explanation. While I doubt they will respond; I plan on staying on them about this.

The media’s covering up for Obama must end and it won’t if we do not keep holding their feet to the fire.

Because as someone on Fox News said earlier most think this is just the tip of the iceberg and that more attacks (or attempted attacks) are coming.

We aren't the only people who think Obama is weak. You don't treat terrorists with kid gloves and expect respect from anyone. The only thing these people understand is deadly force.

It is the people Obama chose who did’t tell him until 3 hrs. after.

Obama and his people are all the same. They hate America, and believe there is no threat period.

Right on! That's my interpretation exactly.

Obama has picked his immediate advisers, AS WELL AS the Secret Service that guards him. Obama and/or his advisers have re-assigned or fired Secret Service agents and White House staff that served under Bush; IG Walpin comes to mind. Seeing how Obama doesn't accept criticism well, he likely only wants staff that feed his ego and don't challenge his authority, even in Security matters.

That same staff seems to exercise Obama's same Bad Judgment, because they don't seem to see anyone as a threat to America now that Obama's acting as president, or anyone that could bring harm to Obama personally.

Between the "Party Crashers," the "Unwitting Tourists," and now this, it almost seems as if Obama's staff WANTS something bad happen to their boss.
