To a muslim, Jesus is only a prophet. Not the Son of God. Muslims can’t wrap their heads around the Trinity principle.

The only thing they can wrap around their collective heads is a towel!

Mr. Obama, so far as we know, is the BIGGEST pro-abortion citizen of these United States.

“I don’t want them(his daughters)to be punished with a baby!”

This is a remarkably cruel and sinful thing to say.

God help us.

Jesus was not a socialist. He was a REALIST. Jesus’s values and philosophy never even approach that of socialism. In fact, if anything, Jesus was a capitalist. Jesus was a carpenter by profession and trade and it is that how he made his living. It is only later in life where he became a preacher and teacher of Christianity. But Jesus lived by the precepts of Christianity long before he began preaching about them. Of course back then there was also a barter type system, an exchange of trades and services rather than currency.

...or perhaps an early Robin Hood.

Robin Hood did not steal from the rich and give to the poor. He got money that had been taken by confiscatory taxes, and returned it to its proper owners.

There is not one single instance in the New Testament where Jesus took money from one person and gave it to another. He gave from what he had, which, in a material sense, was not a great deal.

If 0bama wanted to really follow the example of Jesus, he would advocate for the abolishing of all taxes. Then he could preach to the American people about how it is good to share with those with material needs from your abundance.

God is not mocked. It is not good to pervert the Gospel for your own ends. It is obvious that 0bama does not believe in the living God. May God bring it all down on the heads of those who mock Him.

Obama is by no means the first nor the only usurper of power to pervert Christianity into a justification of himself. Outside of a handful of countries based on English law, there are few if any countries calling themselves "Christian" that have governments most of us would want to live under.

A question I've been trying to research is: What happened in England several hundred years ago that caused them to stop perverting Christianity into justification for authoritarianism (e.g., get rid of the "divine right of kings" doctrine, etc.)?

We are meant to share with those who have less, but it is no longer charity when done by force and with grievance.

The problem Muslims cannot resolve is can a liar be a prophet of the Lord? Throughout the Gospels Jesus directly and by inference identifies Himself as the Messiah, the Son of God.No other prophet, including Muhammad, portrayed himself in such a way.If Christ not be the Son of God, then he is a liar of the greatest measure. Could such a man be a prophet of God? I think not. Islam does not even address this paradox, let alone explain it.

You have to get hold of Michael Barone’s book “Our First Revolution” which is the story of how William of Orange (Holland) became King of England in 1688 and the subsequent overhaul of the British Parliament that set in place the principles that were part of the American Revolution and are still affecting former British colonies around the world today. It’s kind of a difficult book because it’s packed with so much information of everything that was going on at the same time and you can kind of get lost in the details and the names but if you persevere you will get a really good insight into the history of the time. William’s real goal was to defeat Louis 15 of France who was determined to totally take over Europe but he needed Britain’s help to stop him so he had to depose the British James who supported Louis. All the political goings-on back then were just as crazy as they are today. My husband and I had a lot of fun reading this one out loud to each other.

Jesus’ Parable of the talents found in both the Gospels of Mathew and Luke where the master reward those servants were industrious with his money and punished the servant who was not doesn’t sound much like socialism to me.

As humans, we throw names and titles around. Some would be offended at calling Jesus a capitalist. But lets look at some facts.

John 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made...
14The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.

So Christ is the Word of God. So EVERYTHING in the Bible is from Christ, NOT JUST the words he spoke while a man on earth.

The words telling of the rewards for searching for and living by wisdom.

The consequences of foolishness.

The reward of hard work and dilligence. The result of laziness and sloth.

That a good parent LEAVES an inheritance to his children.

That a bad parent doesn't provide for his own.

A wise man builds his house upon a rock, so WHEN the storms come, it will withstand.

A fool builds his house on sand, and WHEN storms come it is destroyed.

The word also tells us of a woman who gets up early, to prepare for her children, husband AND servants.

It tells us leave some grain in our fields for the poor.

It tells us the story of the good Samaritan.

It tells us that GOD IS THE SOURCE of all blessings.

The Word tells us that those who bless others, will themselves be blessed.

We are commanded to help the poor and sick and orphans and widows.

But never does it tell us that we should all have all things equally.

Like you said, Jesus was a realist. The reality is that Jesus was the one who implemented what we call capitalism. But his "capitalism" is one of responsibility and blessing.

That's patently false. The Romans had a system of currency for centuries before Jesus. There are numerous bible stories and parables about coins. What about the Widow's Gift? (The poor woman who puts a few coins in the poorbox.) Jesus and his contemporaries used currency, not barter.

I think it's impossible to argue either side: that Jesus was socialist OR capitalist because it's absurd, and a little sacrilegious, to try to apply modern-day political labels to universal, spiritual teachings like his. He of course did say "If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me." And for "capitalist" teachings of course there's also Matthew 20:1-15 and 25:14-30. But I would really think twice before saying such a stupid statement like "Jesus was a capitalist."

The president spoke of what Jesus “symbolizes for people all around the world,” which he said, “is the possibility of peace and people treating each other with respect.”

WRONG. But then the lying apostate has said that Jesus to him is a "historical figure".

Jesus is the SAVIOR of Man. He died for our sins.

We should love one another as we do ourselves.

But Barack Hussein Obama is lying about Christianity. Then again he was raised by 2 muslim fathers and an agnostic mother and a Unitarian grandmother.

What a dumbass. He should not try to pretend to know Jesus anymore. He should see some minister other than the hate filled Jeremiah Wright (the former muslim bigot who reportedly was the one who brought Obama to Jesus as an adult).

BUMP

The wise men were not going to see Jesus because he was born in a manger and needing nice gifts.

They travelled great distance because they saw the signs that the Son of God had arrived.
