Senate Republicans have agreed to end their filibuster of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reids (D-Nev.) health care reform bill a few hours early on Christmas Eve, a move that will allow the GOP to technically stick to its promise to force Dec. 24 vote on the measure while still making it possible for Senators to return home for the holiday.

come on guys...you remember george Washington & his soldiers postponed the crossing of the Delaware so they could enjoy a nice Christmas with their
...oh wait..

Im done with it all.

I'm not done fighting! We've only begun to fight and sacrifice for this nation, and our kids and grandkids! What about them? Fight for THEM!
Since I can't call him I'm going to at least send him an email.
Well...I just tried that and his email page is hosed. Maybe I'll try a fax.
Bring the servers down! Keep trying!
McConnell: all hat and no cattle, apparently. Perhaps if the Majority Leader position were filled by an actual man, like Dr. Coburn, instead of a little girl...
> Surrender or Blackmail by the Dems????
Rule #3: Do not negotiate with Terrorists.
They will employ the same tactic on you,
over and over again!
I'm not sure that one can lose what one might have never had...
News Flash! Whatever GOP isn’t doing, it aint working. They need to do more than merely oppose Health Care. Boycotting the vote would be a better move at this point so the American People would know that GOP did everything possible to oppose the vote from taking place.
I have to work on Christmas day. Why can’t the Democreeps be forced to do the same?
The GOP just lost another contribution.
Our Overlords work on a Holiday? Are you mad?
Sons of Liberty would be a good name for a new political party.
It makes me long for the good old days of Bill Frist and Trent Lott...
Oh, wait a minute...

?!?!?!
Please understand I intend no personal offense by asking this (especially of someone with such a wonderful screen name.) But in what galaxy have you been living for the past ump-teen years? "GOP" and "fight" are mutually-exclusive terms that have not been (properly) used in the same sentence for eons.
Pea-brain didn’t say he’d vote FOR it, he’d just allow cloture early so they can vote for the bill early and get home to make waitress sandwiches with their corporate lobbyist friends, or whatever debauched thing they do to celebrate Chri—er, the Winter Solstice.
The Republicans should all leave now, leaving the commie rat ba$tards to flail in the wind. This is beyond cowardice.
They need that “personal” touch that goes beyond words.
A symbolic event that would scare the crap out of the rest of them.
I’ll give it some thought - (I’m lousy on names and spelling of names)
Kyl - AZ is a good one.
Isn’t the guy from TX all right?
Also the GOP one from Nebraska?
I think the fossil imcumbents need to go:
Grassley, McConnell, McCain, Hatch & Bennett (Utah), Cochran (just won reelection in ‘08 UGH)
Mercifully, some are retiring: Kit Bond to cite one.
Bunning is retiring.
My mind is blank. I need to look at a list...lol.
I am watching c-span LIVE and they keep talking about the Christmas Eve vote, so I’m not certain they’re adjourning early.
Well I guess I am just naive then. I thought they would at least stand up now and fight for US instead of bowing down to the Democrats
